I couldn't agree more with the comments. My daughter started at 2.5 and now is 4 and reading, writing, doing math, etc. More important than that, she loves going to school every day and when ever there was something about her development, the teachers were quick to let me know what they thought and were right on the spot. I absolutely recommend this school to anyone who truly wants the real montessori education.
Great school, highly recommend it. Both my children started at ages 2.5 and have been there for the past year. Perfect balance of respect, fun and intellectual stimulation. Each child is encouraged to grow at his/her pace at the same time older children model for the younger. Very nurturing environment with excellent and experienced teachers. Love the school.
I would highly recommend Broderick. My daughter has attended for over a year now and she has developed well both emotionally and intellectually. The pre-school program in particular provides the perfect blend of emotional support and intellectual stimulation. Again, highly recommended.
I started my daughter at Broderick Montessori School 4 years ago and now have my son there also. It has been an exceptional experience. I am a supporter of the Montessori concepts and values and Broderick Montessori is a REAL Montessori school (just because you call yourself a Montessori school does not make it so!). The teachers care and attention to my children's development and well being is evidenced by their zest for going to school....they love it! If you are looking for a school that will enhance your child's experience and foster a love of learning, go to Broderick Montessori. You will not be disappointed.
We really can't say enough great things about this great school. The teachers are excellent, the curriculum is rock solid and the culture of respect that is cultivated here has helped to instill a genuine love of learning in our child today. The foundation of knowledge that Broderick Montessori has helped build will impact our child long after he has moved on to another school. We couldn't recommend it any more highly.
This school is a hidden gem! We have been at the school for five years now. Our girls started at age three in their preschool program. The teachers at Broderick are amazing, they are experienced (not your twenty-something that just graduated from college). All three lead teachers have been teaching at Broderick for over 10 years! The school has very small class size (1:9). If you want to give your child a head start and a strong foundation, you should consider this school.
We had a very disappointing experience here. Two stars for strong curriculum, my child did learn but at the expense of self-esteem. The children were constantly punished for behavior I thought was typical for small children. It was a very nerve-wracking environment. I am truly sorry we spent a whole year here.
The saying, 'Do not judge a book by its cover' should be applied with this wonderful place! AMAZING teachers who care and can pull the best from your child!
Mrs Broderick creates a wonderful, warm, 'old-fashioned' homelike atmosphere. The teachers genuinely care about the children, are highly qualified, and always treat the children with respect. It's a small environment where the children can learn and grow without the pressures of many larger school / social environments. Individualized curriculum works.
A very good school with wonderful teachers. Children learn to follow the schedule and to abide by the rules while still allowing freedom for selecting favorite activities. A good focus on letter sounds and reading.
