Great school. Excellent parent involvement. Private environment without being pretentious. Some excellent teachers and a wide variety of sports. Could use a bigger sports and play area.

Very poor communication between administration and parents! Large classroom sizes so your child has a good chance of getting lost unless they are outspoken and not at all shy.

School leadership needs to be changed...parents are treated like they are lucky to be there even though they are paying tuition. Not the happy place it once was.

If you are looking for a Catholic faith based K-8 educational experience with the opportunity for direct parental involvement, you will be pleased with St. Ed's. Our principal has taken advantage of the retirement of middle school staff to recruit impressive new teaching talent. St. Ed's Parish School is investing in the staff and facility (new science lab about to open), led by our dedicated Parish Pastor.

If your child is academically strong this school is fine (except be prepared to supplement the math program). If, however, you have a child that needs more attention to do well is school--look elsewhere. I feel as if one of my kids fell through the cracks despite of the motto "leave no child behind." Some of the teachers at the middle school level are burnt out and need to retire. They no longer have the patience to help those students who need it and unless your child has a diagnosed learning disability there is nothing for them (unless you pay for outside tutoring). The administration has long known about the middle school deficiencies but has been slow in implementing substantial changes.

My three children went to St. Edward's School. It was a fine school except for the math preparation. However, I believe they now have a stronger math program.

I'm an alumni and am currently attending MDHS. I couldn't have recieved better preparation for highschool. The teachers really care about your future. The family at St. Edwards is so close and loving. My class still gets together...thats how close we are.

My children have been attending school at St. Edward since preschool. It has been a great experience and a terrific fit for our family. St. Edward Parish School has a wonderful small community feel. We have been impressed by the wonderful teachers and the principal. We have not found the elementary class sizes to be a problem. Each class has a teacher, aide, and often parent volunteers.

Hi, I'm a student at St. Edwards school. I disagree with many of the rules though. One of them is that soccer is only allowed to be played on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Football on Tuesdays and Thursdays to aviod injuries from 'too many balls flying around.' The field can't be used for soccer on Tuesday or else you might get in trouble...? Another rule is that you can't cross the street, no matter how old you are [the school goes up to students aged 15] without you mom or dad next to you. Break the rule? Detention. There are many more rules like that. One of the best things of the school is Mrs. Pijor, the middle school science teacher. She is an AMAZING teacher that *no one* dislikes and that is an understatement, I believe. The school is pretty good.. just needs a little work on basic rules!!!

I have had 2 children graduate from St. Ed's and 3 still at the school. My two older children were well prepared for a rigorous curriculum at JSerra High School, and I am very happy with the teachers and curriculum of my children still at St. Ed's. I love that the kids go to mass weekly at the parish church, and I love the strong sense of community that this parish school has. My kids have enjoyed the after-school athletics for 5th through 8th grade and the academic decathlon offered to middle school students.
