Great school. The teachers are dedicated to the students, they provide quality learning experiences for all the students. The principal guides the school in a very professional manner and is engaged with the students.

I am incredibly impressed with my kids' 2nd grade teacher at Merryhill. She is in fact credentialed (contrary to the prior reviewer's comment) and has 12+ years of experience. She also has experience as a former single subject math teacher, so she is really strong in math, which is not something that is common among elementary school teachers. She's also very strong in language arts and science. My kids' specialty teachers, including art, music, spanish, and PE are also super.

We enrolled our son here on the recommendation of another parent. We have been more than pleased. The school is full of energy, the students are treated with respect and the faculty, staff and administration are very professional and caring. If you have a young student and live in the Davis area this is the best learning environment I've seen.

We were pretty underwhelmed with the quality of teachers at Merryhill. Many of them lack a basic teaching credential. Merryhill is very much a "chain" type of school, like McDonald's. They view your child as a paycheck and have little interest in their development, etc. The school is very rigid- the children must salute the flag every morning. The classes are disorganized. Parents often choose Merryhill for its after-care program, which is an organized daycare setting.

Our kindergarten teacher, Kathy Peterson, is excellent. She's enthusiastic, caring, attentive. My two kids in her class are learning a lot.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
