It is more of a community or tight knit neighborhood than other schools are. Everyone knows you as a parent as well as knows your children. I love that the teachers as well as principals care about your kids as much as I do.

Denair Elementary cares about kids. They have high test results, small class sizes, and small town friendliness. It's a great campus.

I brought three of my children from a similar school setting, small school in Turlock with great teachers and awesome school and parent involvement. The teachers have been great. After school activities are great. The academics are fantastic. my son was having speech difficulties and his needs were met and is reading now nonstop loves to read because he can now understand and pronounce words with no problem. The principal is so good to the kids.To me the principal plays a big part in the children's learning. it's like having a job and enjoying going. If there not happy or to intimidated by that principal they will not want to go and they will not have that willingness to learn. I highly recommend this school. I to hope that it won't grow to big and not have the small town feel. But it is a great place to learn.

I have had children at DES for the last 5+ years and have been nothing but thrilled with their teachers. Saxton math curriculum is excellent and highly effective in teaching the students. An accelerated reader (AR) program encourages reading and many teachers reward the progress the students make in it. I am at their school often and the principal knows most of the students and even what teacher they have. There are numerous after school activities led by the teachers, including: choir, music, art, homework club, and gardening. The teachers give of their time above and beyond because they care about the students and want to make DES a better school. I highly recommend DES to anyone who asks. I just wish we didn't have so many kids moving into the area, because I liked the small town feel and it is really becoming a large school. Go Coyotes!

So far I really like Denair Elementary. My child went to Preschool and has now started Kindergarten. She has already learned in two weeks how to write numbers up to 10- and sounds and recognizes all leters from a-j.
