Just to add a little bit about the yard ladies wanting to quit...they threatened the 6th graders that they would take all of their end of the year activities away. Some kids were crying and after calling a couple of other parents I found that some kids felt too intimated to tell them. Thankfully, I have a good relationship with my daughter or some of us never would have known. My daughter has been looking forward to that rite of passage for years. Cruel behavior on their part, and why didn't the administration tell us?

Armstrong's approach to educating their students are insufficient. My daughter constantly comes home and does not understand how to do her homework. It is hard to understand how this is taking place when she's there for seven hours. She will not be attending this school next year.

I wrote a review the other day regarding the inappropriate behavior by the staff at armstrong. For some reason it was erased, but I am here to state the facts of the lack of luster this school provides. Last week the kids were told that nobody whats to work with them, and that the yard supervisor whats to quit. That should not be said to the kids and it is just one of many problems that this school has. The captain of this ship is not in control, and it is now apparent to see why so many parents have taken their kids out of here.

I have attended to this school four years ago. This school was great and was surprising pleasing as a student, back when Mrs.Savage was around. Even the unsmart students were doing well. :C . Now since there is the new principle, i think this school is failing now. But they do have great sixth grader teachers!

ARMSTRONG IS TRULY THE BEST SCHOOL EVER, both of my kids went here from preschool to third grade. I wish we still lived in the area so my kids could still attend this GREAT SCHOOL. The Principal is great she is always out and about making sure things are running smoothly. She always makes herself available to parents and not just sitting in her office. All the teachers truly care about all their students.

Since moving to Diamond Bar from out of state, I couldn't have asked for a better school! From the office staff, to the teachers, to the principal, Armstrong is wonderful! My daughter went to middle school confident and well prepared. My son has one more year to look forward to, and is doing great! There are too many wonderful, caring teachers to mention, and Pat Savage is very involved in every aspect of the school. She has even played jump rope and football with my children! I highly recommend Armstrong to any parent, and thank everyone at Armstrong for going above and beyond!

Armstrong definitely is a safe and clean school located in a nice neighborhood. I personally have mixed views on their academic approach to learning. They will teach your child what they need to know for their academic level but as far as going over and beyond it's not happening at this school. I'd like to see a more challenging academic program for the students. Overall my children are their because it's in our neighborhood, it's safe and clean and learning is going on.

Armstrong is an excellent school. My son, Nathan, is the 2nd year in the school. His 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Cook, is a lovely and wonderful teacher. She loves her students and cares about their academic progress too. My son made a lot of progress and we truly love the school.

Our daughter is in her 2nd year at Armstrong and so far we are please with the quality of the school. Mrs. Cook was her first grade teacher, we thought Mrs. Cook had the right balance of discipline and fun for the kids. Our daughter did well last year in 1st grade and really made an effort in the School's reading program. She is in a combo class (2nd/3rd grade)this year so we will have to see how well the teacher can balance 2 grades in the same room. It does cause us some concern so we are tracking our daughter progress. Overall a great experience with the quality of the teachers and staff. Mrs. Savage, the pricipal, seems to truly care about the direction and progress of the school. She is very involved and does not stay behind her desk, she seems to manage by walking around.

Armstrong is a wonderful school with some great teachers who go the extra mile to make sure the students do well. We have had some great support during our daughters illness to keep her from falling behind 'Thank You'.

This school has lost its vision. Armstrong has suffered since the arrival of the current principal, who seems overly focused on performance scores. She was bit and cursed at by a child who then ran off campus in a lunchroon filled students. The child was allowed back the following day. Bad precedence to set. The teachers seem to be trying their best, but are lacking in creativity. Fun programs and events the students once looked forward to have been discontinued with no replacements. Other programs such as accelerated reading which was implemented to motivate the children to read, has lost its appeal as some teachers punish kids by revoking recess time without a set amount of ar points. Wrong idea. It's become very disappointing. In my opinion, the inconvenient disorder of the still ongoing construction is indicative of the mess that needs fixing within.
