Bottom line,Even at it's worst Butte Valley High better prepairs young people for furter academic pursuit than many other schools in the nation. While it may not be the finest school in California, It's requirements far exceed those of most High Schools in the Southern United states. Also, The small school population allows for one on one time between teachers and students eaqual only to a private school.

The academic programs do not properly prepare students for the transition into a university. Many aspects of a good education are present, but not to an advanced level.

It appears the BV school board is determined to get rid of all athletic programs to save money. All in all a very poorly run high school.

The quality is poor. Teachers are not mentored, evaluated nor structured to teach to the state standards.
