I wen to this school last year and, quite frankly, I didn't enjoy any day I went there. The teachers and the students were very nice and all, but coming from New York, where the standards of learning are a lot higher than what it is in California, it was just not very good. I had a 4.0 all year and didn't even apply myself as much as I could have. I think this school is okay if you're just trying to have a mediocre education, but if you're trying to be something in life either attend a private school, as I'm doing for high school currently, or do your research on schools. The higher the test scores, the better the education. ~A displeased alumnus
I really like this school and the teachers are great some kids do have a bad behavior but ALL THE SCHOOL have kids like that and just because of those kids are like that doesn't mean everyone is like that everything is going better now and this school is totally the best one in El Cajon it just takes someone to see it
I went to this school in 2003. While I was attending this school ,I don't remember any teacher caring about me. One principal did care about me and she helped me so much. The teachers however were only concerned with behavioral problem students had. I don't remember a teacher ever helping as an individual teen.
love the school, the teachers make me smile every day i attend. alot of the students are very rude and really dont respect the teachers. a few girls i know get picked on way too much by students but teachers could try harder to resolve this issue. in the three years i have been here i think its a great school and you wont find a school were kids dont pick on others. everyday is new and fun. i find it not hard to get a good grade as long as i try!
The principal is excellent person he is working so hard every day on all areas. I am a parent and I live across street. I see him every morning arrive at 6 to 6:30 a.m. He works actually on weekends. The school is improving a lot!
Cvms school is great i have a son in the 8 grade and his grades have improve since he has moved to cvms. He used to go to Greenfield in 6 grade but he said that the techers were not supportive of what he wanted to success in life. He also said that the teachers in Cvms are great.U
This school is great, I'm going into 7th grade this year and even though there are a few fights its not like it happens every sin gle school day I love this school we're getting more things under control like theres technical arts in this school and in greenfield middle too but ours is more taken care of the only thing that has been stolen in the last 2 years is a magnifing glass the problem isnt the school its the parents that dont get involved in the school... if you have a problem with this school just talk to the principle this is an amazing school and I love it.
I have a son that just finished 6th grade @ evms. I have not been impressed with the way the staff deal with the chilren and there lack of control. At times I have felt as if they want you to observe from a distance and mind your buisness. The children on campus for the most part are extemly disrepectful and seem to be there only to give there parents a break from them during the day and to get free lunch not to learn anything. There are a select few that really care and want to learn but at that age it's difficult when you have so many negative people around you. The school needs to be more open to parent participation and on a good note I recently received a flier about a PTA meeting. So hopefully that will be a step in the right direction.
I am Extremely disappointed with this school. The teachers on a whole have negative and over burdened attitudes. The few that still care and have good attitudes are dwindling. I do not hold much hope for them while surrounded with negative peers. I do not feel the school is supportive of me as a parent. I feel like they would prefer I just stay out of Their business...
My daughter attends this school, I am very uncomfortable with all the stories she comes home with. All regarding fights, suspensions and students attitudes toward teachers. I had two older children attend this school and I really do not see this school improving. There used to be a cheer team, which unfortunately was run by a volunteer coach and not much support from the school. Those of us who were involved (parents) had a great time! It kept alot of the students busy and with something to look forwared to.
My daughter was a student at evms for two years. For those two years some of the teachers were good some were not.My daughter wanted to be a cheerleader but there wasnt a team to cheer for. There wasnt any parent involvement at all or teacher involvement at the school. Most of the kids at this school got transfers to other schools were they got better grades and became interested in sports and there grades. This scool is a disappointment. The teachers who were suppose to teach their chosen subject were teaching other subjects. They were not given history or geography. I was told they would get them in high school.
