This school has been wonderful to both my children. It is very family oriented and the staff and pto go out of their way to make every kids experience fun and educational. Parents need to remember its ALL for the kids!
I love the teachers that my son has had since kindergarden they are totally dedicated and love what they do with the utmost patience, and the staff is like family. My sons report card was 4's, 5- A's, and 8-Outstandings. I credit it to Ms. Wigley she has her hand full and he just gets better reports every report card.
the best school you could ever find . the best teachers. all around the best
This is the best school in this district. The children are taught so much and actually learn and remember it. I won't put my daughter anywhere else.
We love this scool. My children are actuall 'Taught' by the teachers. Imagine that.
I think WD Hall is a wonderful school. The teachers are great, too. In my opinion, though, the Principal needs to not worry so much about being the student's 'buddy/friend' as being the rule inforcer instead. That is what the school needs more of so the sixth graders don't believe they run the show. The level of parent involvement is excellent, there's always something to help in doing. Whether it's the Fall Fest or the Cinco de Mayo show or even the Book Faire, there is always a way to help at school. I really like the ability at which students can achieve to their own levels, GATE or ESL or day classes. The students are well educated. I also like the extracurricular activities such as Mad Science and Heartlight. How the school honors the past staff is such a blessing in rememberance, too.
My daughter transfered in during the lst 6 weeks of 2nd grade. She had been GATE identified, but her new teacher wasn't aware of why - less than optimal communication. There is not a GATE class, per se, at this school and I feel they are not prepared to meet the learning challenges of specific students. There are extracurricular activities offered - all at significant cost. Parents are encourage to be involved.
