Sunflower Elementary School has a diverse student population, very good teachers, and helpful staff. The one thing I would say to other parents is to stay involved with the daily work of your children. If your child doesn't understand the assignment or needs help, make sure you ask the child's teacher. If you have questions about school policies or procedures, the office and the principal are willing to listen to you. Overall a very good school that deserves parental support.
I think this is a terrific school where teachers are well-trained and highly skilled. Students are involved in their own learning. Parent involvement in their own child's learning will greatly increase their potential for success. The principal is always on top of the curriculum being taught in each classroom.
This school needs a whole lot of adjustments between the teachers and the students.
