As an 8th grader who has attended SEAS since kindergarten I can proudly say that the environment is wonderful and that all the opportunities has really helped me grow spiritually and academically as a child of God. In the younger grades, K-5, all students get attention and chances to be challenged. In middle school, 6-8, we get to choose electives thatfit our interests. I take Yearbook and Academi Decathalon, other classes offered are Art, Creative Writing, Drama, Mad Science, Forensic Science, Newspaper, LAtin, and more. The only thing is that our principal lacks the leadership skills to run a smooth school. She doesn't try to enforce any rules(teachers do try though) and she allows handpicked parents to help make decisions, she doesn't have a strong faith. When she recieves complaints about teachers and/or students she doesn't do anything about it.
My son attended 1 1/2 years of preschool, Kindergarten and now is starting First grade. We could not be happier with the education he is receiving. He not only receives education in academics, but also music, P.E. and religion. The atmosphere of the school is wonderful! We look forward to all of us gathering for morning assembly. I am looking forward to the many years we have left at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton!

The school is in the dark ages when it comes to diversity. I am Caucasian, and I believe diversity is very important in every institution especially in a Catholic school. The academics are somewhat satisfactory. My daughter and son were honor-roll students at SEAS, but when they began their freshman year at St. Francis and Jesuit high school, they were lacking in certain areas. The Principal has weak leadership skills and allows selected parents to dictate how the school is ran. The school has a very unfriendly, artificial, and non-christian environment. The only positive thing I have to say is the school has a very nice Priest, and a good sports program.

We love our experience so far and do not regret the decision to have our children attend SEAS!

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (SEAS) is a great Catholic School! Both of my girls go to this school and started there since Kindergarten. The school, being relatively a new school, did go through some growing pains at first, but now has evolved into a fine school. The principal, teachers, and admin staff are the best and genuinely care for the children. Catholicism is the main core value of the school and the academic program prepares the children very well for a succesful educational experience for Catholic High School, Parent involvement is HUGE at this school which adds to the school's success.

We started this school with much hope for a wonderful education and practiced religious experiences for our children. It has been anything but. The Principal lacks leadership and is a poor manager. Some of the teachers need to be replaced. Despite MANY complaints about certain teachers to the Principal from a majority of parents, nothing changed. This left the students scoring low in math and science. There are lots of parents involved volunteering at the school which is the best part of this school. I wish I could say that at least they are surrounded by a good religious environment, but you'd be better off going to another parochial school. My family has children that went to another school because they witnessed our experience.

I as an eighth grader have grown up at the school, having started in kindergarten, but I am ready to move on. I am ready to take accelerated classes, and have a broader choice of cirriculum. I wish we had the same opportunities as public high schools that can afford more teachers and better technology. We are working to build in certain areas, but our principal is not skilled in leadership. Sh doesn't know how to enforce rules, or how to control exuberant children. With better leadership, we could be a fantastic school, but at the moment, we must work with what we have.

I am honored to have my (now) first grader at SEAS. Last year in Kindergarten he was given a little extra help when his reading wasn't up to par and now he is reading very well. The teacher was very attentive to the children and was quick to inform parents when a child was falling behind. My son and our whole family have been welcomed into the school and we are enjoying every minute of it. We can't wait for our daughter to attend in a few years. Parent participation is the key!

St. Elizabeth is an excellent school. I particularly like the small school environment where you know all the families. Parents are very involved. The teachers are dedicated and the new principal is very kind and working very hard. This school is still going through some changes, but it is on the right track and getting better each year. The middle school program is evolving and the children enjoy the elective program. It is certainly one of the best schools in Elk Grove and has the safest middle school!

Overall the school seems appealing, but after spending years at the school and now seeing our older students prepare for high school, we have come to the reality that the upper grade curriculum lacks in technology and science. The school introduced an electives program to the upper grades this year which has turned out to be an absolute mess. The principal keeps trying to make things happen, but she does not have adequate leadership skills and cannot even enforce simple things such as the dress code. I believe part of the problem is that the school is run by an overbearing priest who has put in place people that will only answer yes to him (at the principal and advisory committee level) rather than people who actually can make a difference.

i liked this school but i would not recommend it to a student looking for a wonderful environment as for the student. the teachers are fine but i dont really care for the style of teaching. on the upside, there is a lot of great help and participation from the parents! i was part of many events and was happy to be with everyone. the disipline is great but sometimes a little too much. overall i pick this school as average but not high. i assume in the future that it will grow to be much better.
