I believe that overall the school is well run and the staff are committed to teaching. What I take issue with is some of the core subject teachers being disorganized in their teaching methodology and using the old school sink or swim method of teaching; this has the affect of almost overwhelming the kids with work. This includes the primarily the math and humanities dept.'s. Unfortunately, some of these staff members have a difficult time accepting both parental input, questions and constructive criticism. However, the staff I have found overall tend to care about learning and how they teach the kids. This is something all parents can and should work with to aid the school in their child's learning process. I would again state that the school has a very good staff overall and they do seem to care about the kids.

I love the school because it provides me with a fun and safe environment. The teachers are great and easy to be around yet they have high expectations and provide a challenging curriculum.

Moral is everywhere. Disgusting. I sent my children back to TJMS. Much better they are now learning.

My son and daughter both recently attended Elizabeth Pinkerton Middle School and Cosumnes Oaks High School, for 8th and 11th grade, after attending Toby Johnson Middle School and Franklin High School. From my experiences with EPMS and COHS I was dissapointed with both of the school's moral and their way of teaching. Both of my kids did not like it at all @ EPMS and COHS and wanted to go back to their previous schools. I then tranferred my 2 kids back to TJMS and FHS and they are loving those schools better. If i were to compare the 2 schools i would have to say TJMS and FHS is a better school to send your children to.
