There has never been a greater school. OLG is AMAZING!!! From day one when I walked into to look at the options for my two sons I was greeted with a warm feeling in which a child's education came first. As I met with the principal to grasp a better understanding of the school I realized all of the things my boys were missing out on at their other school. Not only is a hands on learning environment important but differentiated instruction, individualized instruction and common standards are key to a childs success. Just by taking a tour and learning about the school I could see that all this was being provided for all their students. I made the decision to send both my boys to OLG and it was the best decision ever. My younger son was struggling on learning how to read and in two weeks time he now has a love for reading, is pushing his sounds, looking at the pictures for clues and so much more. My older son is now being challeneged academically and is feeling a sense of accomplishment. All of the parents and staff at OLG are heart felt and put all their students first. This is a wonderful environment where a child can receive a successful education!
When i was shopping for a school for my children i was so worried that i was going to make the wrong choice. Then i went to the open house at OLG, they didnt really try to sell the school to us, the principal said we are a Catholic School and we will expect you to be active Catholics, our children are well prepare for high school and we will treat your kids as they were our own. I took a gamble and picked the school, now looking back i realized that OLG is so much more, from the first day parents and staff made us feel special and welcomed .From the principal to the last last aide, they all strive to make OLG a very safe place for our children, the principal is highly involved in everything. I really wanted to volunteer and i fit right in, the other parents and staff welcomed me with open arms, i was even able to bring my lil one with me. However this school is not for everyone if you dont like to attend church, or if you are one of those parents that doesnt like to be bothered by their kids and expect the school to teach and raise your children. This school is not for you.
This is a wonderful school where student outcome is based on teacher-parent collaboration. My child loves OLG due to the love and support given from the teachers and other school personnel. The school offers a very safe and clean environment to the students. They strive to make the school better. I am very impressed with the school - home communication. There are also many opportunities to become actively involved parents. My husband and I are very pleased with the academic program as well as the new technological advancements being put in place this upcoming school year by the new principal. Another highlight is the religious curriculum. Our Catholic faith is ever-growing in the eyes of my child. The priests welcome the children just about every morning and help make mass interesting for the students. Students participate in mass and enjoy going. I highly recommend Our Lady of Grace.
I respectfully disagree with the last few reviews. As a teacher at OLG, I possess a California Clear Teaching Credential and a Master of Education degree. Most of my colleagues are qualified teachers, the very few who are not are in credentialing programs. We care about our students, whether they are on student council or not. We meet with each other and with parents to discuss our concerns about our students and how to best meet the needs of those students because our students success is our primary goal. We could not do this without the backing and support of our pastor and principals. If my children were of school age, I would not hesitate to send them to Our Lady of Grace.
I agree with the last review. This school is not very good. The lack of qualified teachers is scarce. The have poor leadership coming from the parish. Don't waste your money on this school
This is not a very good school, but there is a good religion program. There is extreme favoritism and if you are not on the decathlon team or student council you will be constantly reminded of it and will lose out on many special privelidges. It is a satisfactory elementary school, but the academics are not good enough to justify staying for middle school. Also, does anyone else find it strange that there are seven five star reviews posted on June 14th?
I am currently a student at Our Lady of Grace and will be graduating this coming weekend. I have had many wonderful and enjoyable experiences during my time here. The teachers are wonderful they care for each student genuinely . Also getting to be with the same group of people for so many years allows you to truly get to know each other and not only grow as friends but as family.
So I'm am graduating this weekend. I have been at this school for nine years. Our Lady of Grace really lets you build relationships with friends that will last forever. This school REALLY needs a new wifi system and new computers. But otherwise the teachers really know how to teach the students and they really try to help them succeed.
I am a student of Our Lady of Grace and I can say this is the best school I have ever been at and I don't even think about changing schools. Our Lady of Grace challenges me to do my best.
I am a student at Our Lady of Grace. I have been a student here for 3 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. I have made countless friends that I will remember my entire life. The teachers continually inspire me to be a positive influence to all around me. I am proud to say I am an Our Lady of Grace Lion! Go Lions!
This is a wonderful school who has not only given me a great education, but also has given me great friends that I know will stay with me for many years to come. I am graduating in a few days knowing that I am prepared for high school and beyond. If your looking for a great school with a family feeling Our Lady of Grace is definitely the place for your child.
Our Lady of Grace is an awesome school and I will miss it so much! I am an eighth grader of this school and I am going to graduate in four days. I came to this school in third grade and everyone accepted me like I have been there since when I wasin Kindergarten. This school has so many fun activities! Having fairs, game days, Hawaiian days, pep rallies, winter wonderland, and much much more! This school kept me active by participating in sports. There is also student council. This school has a science lab, musical instruments, drama program, health program, and many other fun things to do. The teachers are amazing, helpful, fun, and caring. This school is a big ball of fun and I will never forget it. Although I am leaving, this school will always be close to my heart.
I don't care what other people say. I think this school is amazing and I'd recommend it to other people. The teachers are really nice, funny, and they know how to connect with the students. The school overall is a great environment for children and you are very well educated. It taught me what I needed to know to prepare for high school and I don't regret coming here.
My sons graduated from OLG and had great success in high school and college. The teachers are wonderful. Their accrediation scores are always ranked very high.
I am a student at this school and I love it here!!!!!! There are so many fun activities ! My class is about to go on a field trip in Social studies to Sacramento! So cool! I love my violin class and I hope to be on the awesome Student Council one day. I want to be a leader of my school some day. I feel that I am safe here.
I am the former principal at Our Lady of Grace School. This school has an outstanding faculty and staff; the best that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The parents care about all aspects of the learning and community at this school. Anyone who joins this community will be thrilled with the academics that their children would receive. God bless the children.
I am an alumni and currently work at this school. Our Lady of Grace has their accreditation and has had it for decades. Our teachers are hard working and try everything to make sure every child is learning and enjoying the curriculum. We provide many extra curricular activities for children before and after school including chorus, sports, cheerleading, violin class, chess class, and robotics. We also have an after school homework room for those students needing peace and quiet after school to get their homework done. Our teachers are involved with other activities throughout the school. They do not just "show up, teach and leave". Many are coaches for decathlon, cheerleading, student council, or sports. A few have even offered FREE after school tutoring just to ensure that all students can succeed if they want to. This school truly cares about their students and their success.
I love OLG and have been associated with the school for many years. The teachers know their subjects and are concerned about the students. Many families have been associated with the school for generations which adds to caring, concerned and loving atmosphere. OLG stresses building a person of character and knowledge.
Superb! This school is terrific! We are so happy with our decision to take our child out of public school and enroll in Lady Of Grace! What a fabulous group of teachers, parents and local community. We are proud that our child is learning how to create lasting relationships, be respectful, complete assignments and is on track to create a work ethic that will be rewarded in the future. The kind, loving environment woven with accountability, rules and yes, uniforms - is inspiring. Way to go - will update again at the end of the 1st semester.
