My daughter has been a student in NB since 2006. I love Mrs. Campbell, she is always everywhere and always very involved in what is going on in her school. She makes her job to know who my daughter is but more importantly she knows her by name and so every other student in NB. I haven't met a teacher, aide or office staff, or anyone else who works at NB that don't make me feel comfortable about my daughter being there. Thru my nephew I've had experiences with other schools. I feel like I'm spoiled because the other schools don't compare in any way in excellence to NB. I wouldn't dream of having my daughter anywhere else. Special Ed. is the best and the compassion and understanding that the kids learn is something they can not get anywhere else. I've dealt with ignorant people, no one in NB is.

There are a handful of really terrific teachers at North Broadway, but the way the administration handles things leaves a LOT to be desired. Not giving out information or being intentionally misleading until the last minute. I think a new principal would serve NB much more efficiently, directly and honestly.

With 26 years of experience in elementary education, I feel that this is the best school in which I've had the pleasure to teach. The North Broadway family is such a positive experience for children and staff and is reflected each week at the Friday assemblies. Ms Campbell leads a group of teachers who believe that children come first and education is much more than just passing tests. This means that children are academically challenged, but are also presented with opportunities to experience a broader educational foundation. The Art Docent Program is one of the best I've seen , the PE program is unique in this area, and teachers are always trying to find ways to make all learning interactive and meaningful. This school aims to instill a love of learning and a compassionate social awareness that I believe is the hope of all parents and teachers.

My older daughter used to go to North Broadway before they re-lined and moved the boundaries and it was so much better then. Now it seems that the teachers are having issues with staying on track with the kids, since there are many that are ESL students. The parking situation stinks, and if you don't get there early, you won't get in the 'loop' to pick up your child. I love Mrs. Kaull as a Kindergarten teacher and there are many other good teachers. I am not sure how you could improve the situation without creating ESL classes that will help those students instead of taking away from the teachers valuable time of teaching.

There are a few teachers are excellent and other just want to hurry up with the day but, the Principal, Ms Campbell, is horriable. She has poor leadership qualities, doesnt discipline all of the children equaly, and has her faviores that can get away with toooooo much! the PE program is fantastic. The PE teacher, Mr. Mickey as the kids call him, is the best and he treats all of the kids equaly and makes a point to know all of the children and parents, as well. The office staff is very friendly and always more then happy to help.

My child is learning and thriving at this school. She enjoys her class very much. Her current kindergarten teacher has been teaching for over 20 years in the same classroom and has established a great program.

North Broadway is a great school! We are pleased with the education that our children have had and will have. As much as I'd like to move to a newer home in a different area, we remain here to be in the North Broadway district for my children to attend this great school. The principle is always out with the kids directing traffic or calling in the evening with weekly happenings at the school. Great communication to parents! So far, by what I can see, the teachers are all super! Very pleased!

My daughter will be starting her second year at N. Broadway this fall. Overall my husband and I are greatly impressed with the special education program for Autistic children here at N. Broadway. My daughter is able to participate in both a special day class that offers individual attention and a regular class where she can interact with other kids. The school does a lot to raise awareness about Autism and special education student among its general education pupils. The teachers and support staff (aides, speech therapy, P.T.) I have met are really dedicated and caring. The other school staff seems to be good overall. The P.T.A. is active and often has monthly events. The only downsides are 1) that there are almost no extracurricular activities, sports, or music programs and 2) the parking lot is very small so usually you must park a block away to pick up your child during peak hours.
