Etna Elementary has gone through many administrative changes in the last 8 years but the nucleus of great teachers are still there. The addition of the Academy of Arts, Science and Technology charter in 2003 combined with declining enrollment in this rural school allowed for the development of a hands on science classroom with live animals and an outdoor lab. Declining enrollment has meant tough choices and the library has suffered. Technology continues to be important with Apple computers and computers on wheels available for use. In tough educational times this school is still great.
