Wilson has made great strides toward a better education for all in the last few school years, especially this year (2009-10). The school's leadership is creative and most teachers don't bore kids to death. The best school in the area, and my kids have been at several.

The new direction in administration the last two years has been a breath of fresh air. Staff is also getting more involved thanks to enthusiastic new teachers.

I am a current student at Wilson Middle School. The principal is, in my opinion, one of the best I've ever had. She does what she can to help us, and for that I respect her authority. The teachers are excellent, both in academic standards and as a human being. The sports and other activities are well-planned and funded, and I assure all of you that our school is entirely safe to attend. Parents do not involve themselves in school activities for the simple fact that most students would rather not take the 'embarassment' of having their parents there - it is not by their own choice. My school, the school that I am entirely proud of, is an excellent one, regardless of others' beliefs.

Wilson Middle School is improving both academically and culturally. Students are held to high standards and the administration is consistently working towards school improvement. There is a good mix of veteran teachers and enthusiastic novice teachers, all of whom are striving to make Wilson an excellent community school. Unfortunately, parent involvement, like many middle schools, drops off as parents (wrongly, I believe) think their students no longer want to see them volunteering at their school.

Not that great of a school. I think the teachers are decent but the overall attitude towards the students is poor. A lot of money talks politics involved in the sports teams. As well as being a member of the 'right,' church.

The quality of academic programs is satisfactory, but can be way better. There are only but a few electives for the students to choose from. There is not much parent involvment.

I have a child at Wilson Middle School and the level of committment to excellence that the principal exhibits is unequaled. The teachers seem highly dedicated to teaching core subjects for the advancement and empowerment of each student in the school. The staff in each department is excellent.
