This school was a onderful experience for my son and family. He attended preschool, and kindergarden through 1st grade. The teachers were outstanding. We only left the school because of a move out of state. We are registering for another Lutheran school at our new location. Lutheran Schools generally are ahead of most public and private schools when it comes to education. Trinity falls into this category.
Very poor in academics. Teachers are thier for paycheck not to teach. The school looks nice but has a long way to go to get there! I give them an F- They earned it.
My two children attended Trinity Lutheran School in Anaheim Hills, Ca. The elementary to jr high school indeed offers a nurturing and protective environment for my kids and others. There is diversity and caring for each other. However when it comes to math and english instruction, I believe the English instruction is good. Mathematics up to and including Algebra I needs more concentration on the part of the student in order for that student to compete in the public school arena. Private schools have standards like this one, but I think the public schools, especially the GATE programs in this same and surrounding community is just as good as the academic private school education. I am beginning to see academic equivalence in quality and content of mathematics instruction. My daughter graduated from Trinity and now attends a public high school GATE program. The transition has indeed been a challenge.
My son attended school here last year (2003/2004). There are no extra curricular activities, no sports, no language and no music. They had a very sad attempt at a school play and only one thrown together field trip at the end of the year. The principal left mid-year and has yet to be replaced. This is a very poor example of christian values. Poor curriculum, unsupervised teaching methods and no management. They keep your registration fee whether your child attends the school or not. Anything to earn a buck. All I can say is that I thank the lord that we have left Trinity and found a real christian school with a sound curriculum, loving teachers and professionals running the school. Maybe we are a little less rich, but we paid for a valuabe lesson in life.
This school was a huge dissapointment and waste of money. The education that was provided my daughter was far less than most children get at a public school.
