My daugher just started 7th grade. We've already had to consult with the Guidance Counselor and the School Psychologist. This certainly doesn't say much for the school. As others have said, other students do not make my child feel welcome, rather they choose to be bullies. Most of the teachers do not discipline students and do not have control of their classrooms. My student wants to leave the school and the community due to her experience so far at Potter. My older daughter had the same non-sense when she went there 5 years ago. The fallbrook schools are like a cancer that just keeps growing. I fear for the kids that will grow up entirely thru the Fallbrook school system. If you have a choice, I strongly encourage you to go somewhere else.

My daughter graduated Potter and transferred to another school district for high school. After a few weeks with her peers and classes in the new district she told me - sadly - that she felt like the students at her new school were taught so much more in junior high than she was. Basically, she had to do a lot of catch up. She was a straight A student at Potter so this says a lot about Potter.

I will have to agree'The children do not make you child feel welcome, and some of teachers and office workers are very rude'. Personal experience with some administration staff was extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately, leadership, disipline, and guidance are lacking at this school and the pricipal does very little to address parent concerns.

Both my daughters have attended Potter Jr. High, and i found the staff warm and caring, and helpful. As well, it is a beautiful campus, more like a junior college than a middle school.

I strongly dislike this school. The children do not make you child feel welcome, and some of teachers and office workers are very rude. My advice, do not send you son/daughter to Potter r. High.

Although I had my reservations about sending my son to this school, I was pleasantly surprised to find my son exceeding our expectations in both academics and in our community. My son has had a great career at Potter and I will credited that to the administration and the faculty. Middle school is big and scary but give Potter a chance I think you'll be pleasantly surprised too.

My daughter attends and reports that most of her classes are boring. She complains of having to memorize information so that she can regurgitate it on the weekly tests. There is little, if any, classroom discussion of the materials's meaning or importance. She also reports that several of her teachers give out the actual exams with answers that will be taken later in the week, and that the students are instructed to write down the answers when it is test time. BTW, she is in all of their 'honors' classes.

I have a mixed idea about this topic. I like some teachers on campus and there waqys of teaching and I dislike other teachers and there way of teaching. Some have real enthusiasm with the kids and some -- as I've been told -- are 'very boring'.
