Russell Ranch Elementary School

Our school is now in its fourth year and running quite well. I have read some of the previous negative comments about our principal, and I disagree with them. These were probably the parents that like to whine and complain about every little issue in life and see themselves and their children as perfect. Our principal is a hard worker, is always on campus interacting with staff, students, and parents. He is real.

Russell Ranch just opened in 2007 and has been wonderful every year, and simply keeps getting better.

Russell Ranch is a great school. It has some seriously dedicated teachers who really care about the children and want to see them reach their full potential. They have added several before and after school enhancement/enrichment choices for our kids which not only benefits the children but the parents as well. The school is not prefect, and there are a couple teachers that need to hang it up tenure is not our friend. On another note, the principle is becoming a little more flexible but still very conscientious and ALWAYS thinking of our children s safety. Though it can be a little aggravating at times, I understand his bottom line of his responsibilities, and respect his position. The PTA is trying really hard to get ALL the school s parents involved and it being a new school, this will take some time. With that said the parents involvement outside of PTA is outstanding. Without them this school wouldn t be as fabulous as it is. I m so glad Russell Ranch is our school and my kids look forward to school every morning.

Last year was the first year the school was open and with anything new, you should expect a few hiccups. I was originally skeptical of sending my children to a new unproven school. As mentioned before the principal, staff and teachers have instituted wonderful programs within the school that are greatly appreciated. I do feel MOST of the teachers are excellent and are engaged with the children/parents and go above and beyond. However, with all of this I did have some issues last year that made me consider pulling my children from the school. I m glad I did not though. With the new school year, those issues for me have been resolved. I believe the school is starting to hit its stride and I m happy to have my children go to school there. I feel with the principal, staff, teachers and parents we overall do have one of the best schools.

Great School...Teachers are engaged, kids are challenged and adminstration is making progress as the school only opened last year. Overall we are pleased with the level of engagement and education.
