I absolutely abhor this school. The quality of education and administration assistance was deplorable. I give it two thumbs down and caution parents against it.

We, as parents, have been very happy with this school. The Principal clearly cares about the students and has a no tolerance policy for bullying and thievery. The Teachers and office staff also are very dedicated. Our only concerns are that class sizes are very big, 34 in my daughter's 5th grade class, and there isn't a proper play ground, or an art teacher.Things that are probably a result of lack of funding from the state. As a concerned parent I make sure I am a regular volunteer at the school and I maintain regular contact with my daughter's teacher. We also make certain we hold our child responsible for her behavior and actions at school, as well as monitoring her homework.

We like this school. Principal Williams is a bit harsh with her words when students get loud in the cafeteria however she wants the kids to excel and encourages reading. Tiefort is fairly new for 3rd-5th grades. Kept clean and well maintained. It has a huge yard with basketball, handball, tether-ball and four square courts with a large grass area. The PTO works with the kids to earn money for play equipment. I think if your kids are willing to learn and do work, they will learn here.

This school is great. I have 2 kids attending, one in 3rd, and the other 4th grade. What I've noticed about the negative reviewers on this site, is that they have alot of misspelled words. Maybe they need to go to this school more than their kids.

This was the fifth school my child attended as an elementary school student and by far the best. I attended every 5th grade assembly, communicated with the teacher and kept close watch on my child's progress. She excelled at this school. The afterschool activities were awesome. The PE program far surpassed anything I have seen at the other schools my child went to. Her experience at TVIS built her self confidence, reinforced her academics, and made her love to go to school each day. Too bad she had to move on to middle school.

The staff and Principal at this school are fantastic. Parents can tell they actually care. The office personnel are awesome and helpful from the first moment parents walk in the door.

New principal this year, she seems like she really cares for the kids. Some teachers assign homework, some do not. School is improving. Both my kids teachers seem enthusiastic and warm. They have afterschool activities. No jungle gym or slides.

A new school with no real playground for the kids. My son never brings home any papers, graded or otherwise to let me know what he is working on or how he is testing. Half the time he doesn't get spelling words, rarely do Social Studies or Science. They still give 4,3,2,1 instead of A,B,C,D yet even though my son has gotten a 100 on all spelling test he got a 3. When asked teachers can't even explain how they base grading. How can we aid our children in their education if we don't know what they are working on, excelling in, or falling behind in? The principal can't be bothered with questions. Library contains very few books above 5.0 which limits those kids excelling in Reading. Although this site states class size at 26 no there was 32 kids in my sons 4th grade class.
