We have not been happy with this school. The majority of the staff at this school just seem to be very unhappy and do not seem to care about the children. There are so many children in each classroom and no assistants. The school has a behavior system in place called the "rainbow chart" that does not seem to work for many kids. If you have a special needs child (we do) you really have to advocate. There are many services that my daughter had on her IEP that were actually taken off when we transferred to this school. Her speech sessions were stopped last year for over two months due to a staffing problem and the school did not even inform us, our daughter did. That being said, the kindergarten reading program is awesome and really helped my daughter learn to read quickly. The math curriculum is awful and it seems the school focuses much more on reading. My daughter is almost done with first grade and the class has not began working on telling time and has not finished working on basic addition and subtraction for #'s 0 - 20. There seems to be a lot of homework, especially math, because the teachers don't cover it all at school. My 1st grader has 60 mins. each night.

Both my kids attended Lewis and we loved it! The teachers they had were excellent. We do wish the teacher/ student ratio was smaller but the teachers did a great job with the children. My son started kindergarten with Mr. Alex and was reading by the end of the year! Keep up the good work. Second grade focused a lot on AR reading.

This is an excellent school. The facilities and the faculty are top notch. My daughter has attended this school since Kindergarten and loves it. The principal and his staff are the most caring and go out of their way to make education fun.

I have been very pleased with this school and the teachers. I have also found that the principal really cares about these children.

This school is the worst school I have ever seen. Most of the teachers and staff are just there to collect a paycheck. Half of the students in my sons second grade class could not read!

I am very disappointed in this school. After only one year here my son's test scores have went from all 100's on the kansas state test but dropped to 60 and 80's here. There is no homework assigned. His teacher misses a great deal of school, does the least amount she can to get by, doesn't return my email's or calls. Doesn't set high enough AR goals and won't raise my son's level despite the 100's on a good 10 test. I never receive any graded test or homework to know how he is doing or to even know what he is working on. Since there is no homework, he never brings home his books either. This school is on a military post, our kids are bounced around every two years from school to school they can't afford to be so far behind they will have gaps in their education.

This school is 100% better than the middle school. The middle school lacks serious leadership and credible teachers. The elementary school on the other hand, is excellent!

Is a great school, children will love it here, the teachers are wonderful, and they have a very good support system. My children have been at this school between the two of them, for 8 years and it only seems to get better.
