If you are looking into this school...DON"T!!!! This schools follows right in step with the Ocean View School District and does not put the kids first!!! We are in our last year there and can't wait for it to end. They are on there 3rd Principal in that time. Each one is worse then the one before! Teachers care only for what fits into there life and do as little as they can to work with the students!!! Don't get me wrong there are some good ones and I feel bad that they are there!!! If you are smart I would go anywhere but here!!!!
Kids do what they have to do to get through the class and teachers do what they have to do to get through there day and it is very noticable they don't care about students. You can't be effective if all you do is yell and call the students stupid! I think if that is how you feel you should find a new job and let teachers in that want to inspire learning in the kids!
They really don't develop anything in the students but the need to get out of there!!!! Talking to most students there, they don't like anything about the school and don't feel they are heard or cared about but by a handful of teachers!!!
This is the best middle school in the Ocean View school district for an inclusive and diverse population. There are excellent programs here and very dedicated teachers and staff. Administration is involved and consistent. Kids that may find it hard to fit in to typical beach schools such as Marine View will find an accepting and supportive environment at Vista View. Only con is the lack of parent involvement here, the weakest parent support I have seen.
IF ICOULD I WOULD RATE THIS SCHOOL WITH NO STARS, VISTA VIEW IS RAN BY A PRINICAPAL WITH NO BACK BONE AND A VISE PRINCIPAL WITH NO IDEA WHAT TO DO, THEY PRAISE THE CHILDREN WHO ARE QUICK LEARNERS WHILE THEY PUNISH CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES. THE ONLY POSITIVE THING ABOUT VISTA IS MS. RICO AND MR. SHETLAND
