The school provided the environment that nurtured our son's desire to learn. The teacher-student ratio is one of the pluses. The fact that the teachers love their work is one of the stongest assets the school offers. Our son graduated with honors, and was accepted to Cal State Maritime Academy. Transformational, should a student be receptive, they can achieve their potential and regain their self esteem. Great mentoring and counseling, We are so grateful for NAWA!
The best decision we have made thus far. Straight F s to straight A s. College is no longer and possibility; moreover a destination. Our son has attend NAWA for two years; we are about to start a third. He is growing into quite the young man; exceeding our expectations. Highly recommended, we are utterly grateful for NAWA
Sending our Daughter to Nawa-Academy was the best educational and personal development decision that our family has ever made. We have seen our daughter grow enormously during the last couple of years at NawaAcademy. Prior to sending our daughter to Nawa, she had low-self esteem and doubted her ability to succeed both socially and academically, mostly due to her negative feelings about having ADD. The staff really care about their students. They work hard to prepare them for both academic and social success . Their focus is positive, encouraging, caring, and patient. They really get to know your child and show them what they 'Can do'! What a Great School and wonderful experience our daughter has had. This school is truly a 'Diamond in the Ruff'. NAWA provided hands-on support and an environment in which our daughter was able to develop study skills and succeed academically, on a consistent basis - in contrast to her previous experience in a public school situation. The NAWA staff is dedicated to providing the students with the maximum opportunity to succeed.
My wife and I were looking for a school that our son would excell in and we found it at Nawa. The staff is incredible to work with, and we could not have asked for more. 2009 graduate.
Nawa provides a safe, supportive learning environment. I am both a teacher and a parent, and I am very pleased with the education my daughter is receiving at Nawa. I seldom see educators as concerned and compassionate. I highly recommend it.
Nawa creates a truly individualized environment in which parents, teachers, and children work together to set goals and activities are selected to match the specific developmental priorities for each student. As a developmental psychologist and college faculty, I am delighted to have found a school that meets my son's needs and truly embodies the best of evidence-based practice.
Nawa Academy is a school that takes the time to meet the multitude of needs of each student. The teachers are wonderful and creative. It is a secret that needs to find its way out to more families. Check out their website at www.nawa-academy.com. Good luck on your search.
The school was alright, but VERY boring for us kids. It wouldn't have been near as crummy if there had been more activities for during free time...
