Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I really enjoy everything this school has to offer. The staff is very friendly and pay attention to the kids needs. The teachers are great and put alot of effort to make kids succeed. My kids are being challanged more than I expected. They are friendly and yet firm at the same time. I have no regrets with having my kids enrolled at Fancher Creek. I have seen great results at this school.

This school is great. The teachers go above and beyond. Their reading programs in 1st and 2nd really helped my struggling boy. He now proudly says he can read. My daughter is gate bound, she was challenged to her full potential. I can't say enough about the teachers of this school. To the previous parent, one bad teacher doesn't make a bad school!!

This school is horrible! The curriculum is pathetic, the teachers are (for the most part) incompetent, their attention to safety of the students is nonexistent. My son went to this school for a few months after attending River Bluff in Central Unified. There was no comparison. Everything about Fancher Creek was abysmal. We hated it so much that we actually moved all the way back to Central Unified to get our son back into River Bluff. I cringe at the thought of my son ever having to attend another school in Clovis Unified.

My son has attended Fancher Creek since preschool and he has had great teachers in his kindergarten and first grade. I know Mr. Kearney is trying as a new principal but he still has a lot to learn.

I'm the parent of three kids with different needs. My sixteen year old who went from having 'D and F's' to getting honor roll back when she was in Mr.Kelly's 6th grade class. My son who struggles with a medical condition was never turned away.My youngest who absolutely loves school.Rosie and Mr.Kelly did'nt just instill education in my kids life ,they made Fancher Creek a home.Thank you for being such great cheerleaders for our kids.

My child has been in this school for 5 years and every year it has gotten worse. We have seen several great dedicated teachers leave because of the lack of respect they are given by the principal. This school is in big trouble unless there are some huge changes made. I will not be bringing my child back for her last year.

The school needs more funds. Expand the school, remodel the class. The students need more computers.

I think Fancher Creek is a good School. When my daughter was struggling in first grade with reading, they were right on it. She was in reading recovery and they got her up to speed right away. They have many programs afterschool like intervention and during school like read 180 to assist kids with reading, etc. I liked Mrs. Rivera and sad to see her go, but I know change is always a good thing, especially in education. Mr. Kearney will come in with some fresh ideas. I think we all have to think positive. My daughter's teacher this year was oustanding and was able to bring out the best in her, she has never achieved so much in years prior. The only thing that could improve is the leadership of some of the sports programs.

The great teachers at this school have left. The teachers are overworked and unappreciated. The principal acts like a cheerleader and not a leader of a school. My child does not feel safe at this school. I will not be bringing my child back next year!

First of all my 2 kids love going to school. They are getting a quality education. I help the teachers when I can, they seem stressed but treat my kids with concern and respect. My youngest has a reading teacher besides his regular teacher. He is starting to really read now. The dress code is ok, it's a district thing. The afterschool programs offer many choices. My oldest is involved in many sports opportunities. I heard the principal is leaving, she will be missed by my two kids. The school has a few kids that need to be expelled, they are bullies and just angry. They need to go. The school needs more parents to volunteer and care about their kids. Neighborhood could be better. Overall it is a nice school with nice teachers and people.

I'm not sure what goes on while their in school, but my third and sixth grader get very excited over their schools extracurricular. I know we enjoy the after school activities. But I have to say all the principles and vice principles I have known, these have to be the best. They show a real interest in their students, they have gone far beyond the call of duty in many situations. I have not seen any compare to them

I am a 4th year parent at FC and overall the children really like attending school here. I feel that more could be done for the children who are not english challenged, but educationally challenged.

Fancher Creek was once named California Distinguished School and I am proud of it, but I think leadership makes a huge difference. I believe this school lack the leadership that it once had. Excellent leadership produces excellent results!

Fancher Creek has a friendly atmosphere. The teachers are helpful and I'm greeted everytime I go on the campus. My kids are involved with music/choir, sports, and drama. The teachers stay afterschool to provide our kids with a well rounded educational experience. One of my kids goes to a reading lab and he is excited about reading, finally! Fancher Creek is a safe, friendly, quality school.

Fancher Creek has a friendly staff. When I went to enroll my kids staff members asked of they could help me and made me feel welcomed. I had kids in 2nd, 4th, and 5th last year. My 2nd grader loved going to school. He had 2 teachers, his reading teacher helped him through the struggle of reading. My 4th and 5th graders stayed afterschool in many sports activities. The art program was fantastic. They even have a scrapbooking class. So many teachers stay afterschool. My kids and I feel safe and at home. The principal was a bit of a cheerleader. The kids loved her, but she seems to put to much pressure on the teachers. I spent some time in my kids classrooms, the teachers are loving but feel the stress of test scores. School needs to be fun, not just drill and kill.

Most Teachers go way out of their way to help the kids by staying after school, or starting a club or activity for kids to join. Atr, music GATE, sports plus lots of other activitys avialable. Just a few Fanatic parents that need a life, in in general FC has a good level of parent involvement. Current Principal Ms. Rivera has done a lot for school spirt and to make FC a great school to attend.
