You cannot find a better school. Every aspect of the school ispraise-worthy: committed teachers and administration, well rounded curriculum, diverse student body, plays, art, music, sports (recreational and competitive), chess, Science NIght, back to school ice cream social, a music "residency" for 4th graders, edicated computer and science labs and teachers . . .. If you have the opportunity to send your children to Manchester, send them!.

I am currently a sixth grader in Manchester GATE school.Manchester is a great and fabulous school i have gone there for three years and every single one has been great. I love all the teachers but the worst teachers are the fifth grade teacher i recommend Mrs.Writing she is the best i wasn't lucky enough to get her but i know she is nice.I also recommend Mr. Gallagher he is the best of the best 6th grade teachers ever GET HIM. But what really tied this school together is the principle he is great sadly he is retiring this year so the vice principle is taking over she is okay wont be the same but i really don't know Overall MAnchester Gate is one of the best schools u can go to

I am the parent of a child that has attended Manchester Gate for 4 years. It has been an amazing educational experience. The teachers are phenomenal and the administration is incredible--great leadership. Both teachers and administration care about the success of each student. Some extra benefits that make this school one of the best: the school's population is culturally diverse; there is a terrific noon-league sports program open to all students that wish to participate; there is a strong music program (concert and jazz band, orchestra, chorus), competitive sports programs, etc. This school is safe, welcoming, and always doing the right thing for the students and their families. I am proud to be a Manchester Gate family.

Manchester is simply amazing. Not only does it provide an academically challenging curriculum, it promotes critical thinking as well, while making students feel like they are human, and important. Best of all, the bright and interesting children at this school love every moment of their education. The teachers have brilliantly pulled the wool over their students eyes, and made learning fun and engaging. My only regret about sending my daughter to this school is that I didn't send her sooner.

Our daughter has gone to Manchester GATE since 3rd Grade. This school has great funding support and is able to offer the students many field trips, a staffed computer & science labs as well as other enrichment activities. The principal is a positive force and many of the teachers at Manchester are fantastic!

I love this school for my son! He's been in since 2nd grade and will be a 6th grader this year. Teachers are so dedicated and creative. Parents are supportive. Mr. Painter is so involved with every program and is so visible at events. He knows all the kids by name and they love him!

The school is great kids are awesome and the staff is wonderful. My child attended this school 5-6th grade and so far this year we have had a an awesome Teacher but 5th grade was horrilbe my motherly instinct told me there was something wrong with a certain teacher and now due to the fact that I didn't follow my instinct my daughter was affected and therefore did not get into edison computech. She went from a 4.0 to a 1.2 Mrs. Alethea Traskin is horrible horrible teacher.. I'm sorry to say she does not belong at Manchester Gate...

As a grandparent of a Manchester, I have been impressed with the variety of enriching activities offered to the students. I do, however, feel that the extremely outdated bungalows need to be removed from campus, and replaced with rooms with higher ceilings and more light. The principal is a welcoming presence on campus, and knows all the students by name. I highly recommend this school.

Gifted and Talented Education is an understatement for this wonderful school. I will never forget how friendly the school enviornment was when I entered Manchester four years ago. The teachers are very thoughtful and amazingly bright. If I wouldn't have gone to Manchester, I wouldn't be so inspired to get a good education and be successful. Because of everything that this school has to offer, I am on track to being a freshman at University High School. Thank you, Mr. Painter for being so supportive of your students. This is such a great school!! I didn't realize how bad my other sons school was until he started going to Manchester last year. They do lots of field trips and fun hands on projects at this school. The teachers are great! The principal is awesome too. He is always walking around and talking to people. There is a lot of parent involvement which I like too. They have a couple plays a year, music, computers, science night, pinewood derby races..just to name a few. My son is SO lucky he can go to this school. I am thankful.

As the parent of a 6th grader, I will always be thankful my daughter was able to go to Manchester for the last 4 years. I wish all elementary schools had the kind of outstanding admin staff & teachers this school does. Parent involvement has also been tops. Academically a wonderful place to learn--and the music program was great! I will be sad to leave the school, but if your child has been invited to attend---you will be SO happy you did!

Manchester Gate is a terrific school all around. The faculty and Principal are outstanding. They offer excellent academic programs, superb extracurricular activities, and the best ever sports program - led by Principal Painter. I was very impressed with the high level of parent involvement. They also shared the school spirit along with the students. My son had the pleasure of attending Manchester 3rd thru 6th grade. During his time there, he had the best teachers that left a lasting impression on him to this day. Thank you, Manchester, for giving my son the knowledge and experience of a lifetime! I highly recommend this school for all your (gifted and talented) child's needs!

In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
