It must be easier in some ways to teach at schools on the northern parts of town where parents are educated and families live comfortable, successful, non-threatened lives. But West Park teachers and staff are doing something great! Even magnificent. We're giving these kids from poor families who live in one of the roughest, most violent, drug-infested parts of town a chance at a decent future. It's hard work and we don't always succeed with every student, but it's worth it.
This school's strongest point is their amazing staff who are great at personable, genuine communication. Their care for their students is evident.
