Not too easy, not too hard. Some teachers are wack, but it is overall a good school! A good balance between having a social life and a decent education.
Sunny Hills, man, it's an okay school. From my experience, 80% of the teachers are great, students are alright, activities are great, administration stinks, food stinks, it is a poor school. The things i hated the most were the bad students that smoke everywhere and the administration that don't do anything. I also hate the entrance they have because it is such a hassle and it is a very stupid design. A lot of teachers don't know how to teach at all. The school keeps taking our money and uses it for useless things. AND, if you're child isn't "popular" or involved, the rest excludes you and doesn't care. All the students have their cliques and exclude people that they don't think is cool enough or something. Administration really sucks, REALLY. the band stinks and the football team too. Academics are alright. I just wouldn't recommend this school to anyone that wants a happy four years of high school.
this school is horrible all they care about is grades not the students, workers don't respect or listen to students' opinions also they spend all the money to the useless, pointless activities and now school asks students more money to pay for the school.
as a student at Sunny Hills High School, i am very please with what i see socially and academically, during the first few months i have been at this school. the classes are diverse, and the school its self is amazing.
I m a senior at Sunny Hills and I HIGHLY recommend this school. I ll be concise, since I m allotted 150 words. It has the largest variety of Social Science classes in comparison to many districts. An impressive variety of electives is also offered. All of the teachers genuinely care of their students and go out of their way to offer extra help. The amount of spirit and pride is the best it has been in 20 years. All of the students are friendly, creating a fun and comfortable atmosphere. The IB and AP students are well-rounded. The sport teams are at an all-time high. ASB does an amazing job at planning events. The staff members are all friendly and approachable. There is no violence at this school. It has every kind of club. I m absolutely sure that every student here will get the best out of this school, academically and socially.
After three months of attending this school, I have come to the conclusion that this school is overall a great one. Electives come in a huge variety and surpasses many other high school's elective classes in this district. The classes are challenging, however, not to the extent of wanting to tear your hair out. The teachers and staff are highly qualified and are there for you. Their main goal is to help the kids succeed to a higher education and be the best they can be for those students who try. The feel of this school is not one of intimidation, but one of home. You click into this school like a puzzle piece and with so many well put pieces together, a beautiful picture is formed that reflects what this school is. I am a freshman and I believe that the next 4 years will be some of the best.
Sunny Hills is an incredible school with a great mix of academics, sports, and band. The teachers are all caring and willing to help students do well. Ms. Stanton the new band teacher is wonderful. She is doing a great job and the band kids are really coming along. Ms. Stanton really cares. I would recommend this school to everyone!
I am a freshman at Sunny Hills and so far I think that the school is great. At first, I was really nervous about the change from Junior High to High School, but I can tell that the teachers are really trying to make it easier for me. The staff are very nice and polite and the classes are fun and interesting. There is a great variety of classes that I am totally looking forward to trying out.
Excellent school, high standards and caring teachers who give lots of help.
As a student here i hate sunny hills the teachers and other students expect perfection and if u arent perfect they get upset with you. I have a 4.4 Gpa and am looked at like i am stupid because i dont have a full class set of ap honors or ib classes. Teachers are for the most part really good but every where has some bad eggs...... Sunny hills doesnt have the electives that fullerton has and so many students become burned out very early because we dont have any fun classes. I cant wait to be out...... But i guess there are good parts about it but the pressure is just so tremendous i cant stand it anymore
This school is amazing. Nice campus, great teachers, overall great area to be in.
I graduated from this school from the class of '05 and it was the best 4 years of my life. Everyday, I will reminisce all the wonderful moments I had in SHHS and how great all the teachers are. The school is a real college prep school from head to toe. The staffs do not breath down your neck a lot if you don't turn in your work since it is your own responsibility. The school does not have a designated lunch area so you could eat anywhere you like. The teachers are very qualified, particularly the English teachers. When I took English 101 in college, I found it easier than my 10th grade English class. This school really put me at ease when I entered college. SHHS definitely builds your confidence among other students when you reach college.
Sunny Hills is great as long as you have a high achieving student, but for the kids in the middle, they'll find themselves underserved and ignored.
My son is the third of my children to attend Sunny Hills High School. My daughters graduated with honors and went on to attend Stanford and Boston College. We have high hopes for my son and feel strongly that Sunny Hills has played a big part in our children's success.
My child has grown into an adult right before my eyes. She would complain about homework and tests like every other teenager, but she never once complained about the teachers and principal. She loves her school and I believe that Sunny Hills High School has helped her go to college. Five years ago I never even knew that was possible. This is the one school that I recommend in the Fullerton District.
I was a student at sunny hills high school last year and my experience there was great. The staff is very kind and helpful, and the students are aswell.
My son attended SHHS two years ago. The program at this school is specifically geared towards sending students to higher education. More or less, half of the entire school is in honors or AP courses. The school also offers the IB program. Each year, students go off to ivy leagues and other top universities in the nation. My own son now attends UCLA and his graduating class had seven or eight valedictorians. However, it is not extremely diverse and may have a significant competition among its students. But there are numerous extracurricular activities, including nationally recognized newspaper and yearbook staffs. The sports program is also excellent. Overall, this is a very high caliber school and is very similiar to Troy, another exceptional high school in Fullerton.
I think the academic programs at Sunny Hills are great. You have a lot of teachers that care about their students. As for the cheerleading it's just basically all politics! I am not all happy with it!
