The sports here is one of the best in the state. There are a lot of caring teachers here too.
Terrible. I attend this school from freshman, I really try my best to study and work but the teacher make so hard for me to get a good grade. The teacher also don't allow their student to go to restroom even in emergency case. The teacher are pick on bad student and didn't care about good student. For award, always bad student receive not good students. Some teacher are so mean to their student just because something happen at home and she is in a bad moon. The sport is terrible.
I attended Santiago High School in Garden Grove, even graduated with honers, class of 97. I had very fond memories in high school but it's only because I was such a good student. Now my nieces and nephews attend school there and my niece is being picked on by the staff. She's not a perfect student but if the school states that all students are treated equally, they aren't being honest. Shame on the staff for being bullies.
I'm alumni from the class of 79, and here at Santiago I learned many things that have helped me through every-day life. I'll always have fond memories of my days here, Glad to see the school is doing well.
Santiago is a marvelous school with such wonders. Even though it s lacking money through budget cuts, the school staff tries as hard as possible to ensure our education and happiness. Santiago is just a wonderful school with such people that support it through the lows and highs.
it has a very peaceful environment and the staff and teachers are very nice and make learning fun
Great school, great spirit, awesome sports the greatest teachers and people.. seriously what more can u want? Go Cavss!
My School has the greatest teachers in the world,. Though they are strict like others, but they are caring and acts as though we are their children. Plus, the food is awesome!
our school should deserve the prize because our school is really a great school we won the avid demostration ! we deserve it more then any school ! go cavs ! (:
i love that they have teachers that are willing to help. most of them stay after school or during lunch to help. someo of them are even icharge of clubs. i als olike how we encourge kids to do sports. we have a strong jrotc program and also cross country is huge. when it comes to pride, we all have purple in our minds and clothing.
I love my school because we have incredible teachers and staff who make every school day an enjoyable learning experience.
I like all the teachers and how we have great people show school spirit.
I graduated from Santiago a few years ago and I can say that I spent the best time of my life here. Yeah, of course there were some teachers that needed to go back to school themselves but for the most part everyone was wonderful. I just wish I could experience this time of my life again. Santiago may not be #1 but it truly is a good school. And this new principal seems to be doing a good job in getting more involved. GO PURPLE!
Horrible. Teachers are mean and don't help often. sport teams are bad. A majority of Kids don't about there academics. I want to transfer badly.
I am currently a senior at Santiago and for last four years, I never once regret going to this school. I would not choose any other school. Of course every school have weaknesses and Santiago is no different. We recently got a principal that is really involved with the students. The school have a good athletic program. Our football team was League Champ and we went to CIF. The school also offer a of tutoring especially for the HS Exit Exam. And hey, our scores are going up, we must be doing something right. Some people think that it's not a safe school, but ever since i came to this school, i never felt afraid. Please don't judge the school by its past or by the rumors. Go Purple!
My girls have gone to Santiago their whole high school careers. I have one daughter who is a Senior this year and one a Junior this year. My junior has always struggled in school and continues to struggle. But she tries very hard to do her best. The teachers should do something when they see a child struggling and not just let them be. I requested tutoring/counseling and she never received it. My Senior hasn't had much trouble until this past year. She just didn't do what she was suppose to do. The school itself may have its problems but I think the kids also play a part in how well/or not they do. They have a great Principal who really seems to care about the kids and Mr. Nirk is great with the kids and cares a lot about them and there education.
The last 3 years, I've watched this school slowly go back downhill. The lack of involvement from parents, teachers, and the school itself. The school won't budge as far as other after school/ on campus events. How can they get any better, or be proud of, if the school won't help out. Just says that they don't care.
This school is very diverse. As an Alumni, I plan on sending my children. You get to interact with many differant cultures and etnicities. Many teachers do sincerly care about your childs success in their future. There was a slight problems with gang, drugs and violence from 99-2002. School cleaned up very well by 2003, and is improving tremendously every year. Great school, Great traditions, incredible faculty.
Its reallu a fun school for many of the students. They seem to enjoy from a wide variety of activites from asb to clubs.
