Garden Grove Unified

Know your school choice options in the Garden Grove Unified School District.

In the Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD), students can attend their neighborhood school or, in certain circumstances and providing there is space, request transfers to other schools in the district (called intradistrict transfer) or outside the district (interdistrict transfer). Requests must be received by the end of March. Gifted education services are available for elementary, middle and high school students. The district also provides special education programs.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
