Absolutely terrible! We heard for years about how bad the school as academically. We tried for two years with our child there and really saw some positive aspects. Unfortunately the teachers (overall--there were only a few exceptions) and the administrators could care less about student achievement and understanding. The teachers union in this district should be VERY ashamed with what they have done! I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone.

Poor in all areas. Since the dismissal of critical teachers, and administration the school has deteriorated with no regard for students or parents voices. It is also very one sided when it comes to politics a big no, no for any school district. (they do not give choices) they have expelled so many children that the school can not get funding for anything.

I am a graduated student and I miss my old High school. This school was fantastic. The campus was not always the cleanest but there were many people who offered to clean up. This school may lack in the language department but soars in the athletic and Arts section. I was the director for one of our great plays. The plays are always fantastic.

Golden Sierra is very limited in it's foreign language classes. Choices include a very rigorous spanish program, reaching a select few students, not the masses of students; or a very easy german program. Unfortunately german is not a very useful language in california, and spanish would greatly benefit the masses.

Wonderful Wonderful School! Teachers and staff really care about the students. They go out of their way to help, and encourage the children! They take an interest, but more important they care! Waht a joy and delite to have children experience this environment. Safe, secure, and knowing that people care!

Golden Sierra is a distinguished school in our area, we have a USA Today award winning teacher. Our students excel in their sports league, and Vocational programs. The students in Drafting win awards at the State Fair every year. Golden Sierra is a family of staff, students, parents and the community.

Three Words, Mr. Chilton Rocks! P.S This school needs to cater more to the outcasts and bring them back in to the loving circle this school has weaved. Divide high is to easy of an outlet!

The best thing about Golden Sierra is its size. The small setting allows the wonderful teachers there, like Larry Highberger and Liz Ketelle to get to know the students individually.
