The vast and extensive eduacation they give the children. they work with each child according to here potential. They do not group them as one group to learn one thing at the same pace.

This is my daughter's 2nd year at Purche. Also, I have many relatives and close friends that attended Purche previously and currently. It is a great school and in a good environment. The teachers and staff take pride in their work, take time with the students, and often express that they care about the students' education and safety. The staff also adheres to an open door policy, which is an extreme plus.

My husband and I always wanted our child with Autism to be in a classroom that was open to inclusion and treated all children equally. Prior to enrolling our child, we visited Mrs. Franklin's Special Day Class for kids with Autism. This classroom is any child's dream come true! There is structure, organization, active learning, and love for all children. You cannot imagine how difficult it has been to find that type of setting for a child with Autism. I am overjoyed to have found a teacher and classroom assistants who truly understand and embrace this complex disability! My child comes home everyday, happy. Where in his prior setting he was extremely depressed. I thank God for this wonderful learning environment for my child. God Bless Purche, Mrs. Franklin, and her Assistants Ms. Browne & Ms. Voyd

We have and autisic child who is currently in the 4th grade that attends Purche (Special Education Class ) since the 1st grade. Ms Smith the K-2nd grade teacher is awesome. Mr. Brown the 3rd-5th grade teacher is the best in the world. They both have a heart for excelling your childs ability to the highest. They both have excellent teacher aids who support the teacher 100% and are very protective of their students.

My daughter recently graduated from Purche this year. She attended the school from kindergarten all the way through the 5th grade. The road was bumpy here and there, but thanks to her teachers, the staff, her father and my self staying on top of her and keeping her focused she graduated with top honors, as well as receiving a Presidential Award. Her father and I both attended Purche back in the 80's and there are still familiar faces there to this day. The magnet program was excellent. The K.Y.D.S program was so-so, and field trips were far and in-between, but she loved the school and it is honestly a big family. Mrs. Cooper is one of the best teachers around. We need more like her! Panther Pride!

Purche is in the process of improving since having Mr. Jackson as principal and Mrs. Schwarzburg as assistant. Parents need to be way more involved and the students can get out of hand. However we have encountered many awesome teachers here and the ones that weren't are not there anymore.

My daughter has attended Purche Avenue since Pre-K, and she has received a great teacher each time, starting with Mrs. Johnson (Pre-K), Mrs. Thomas (Kindergarten) and Mrs. Thomas (1st grade). My experience has been that the teachers want parent involvement and input. These three teachers were always available to discuss my child's progress. We have started a new school year, and my expectation is that this new teacher will be of the same caliber as her predecessors, if not better.

My daughter attends the Pre-k program there. Mrs. Johnson is excellent. She is kind, firm, and professional. There is a 10 wk parent class that a child representative (parent, guardian, grandparent, friend, etc.) is required to take. I just completed it. It was wonderful and informative. I do not plan on my daughter attending here after kindergarten though. I'm sure that is generally true with most schools though. The pre-k program is great and Mrs. Johnson is fantastic.

Purche has a wonderful Magnet program. The principal takes pride in her school and it shows in her staff, her relationship with the students and the overall care for the campus.
