I would not recommend this school. The teachers are horrendous. They basically teach out of workbooks, and all the grading is done by the students themselves. The older teachers have basically checked out, and have little or no incentive to teach these kids. My son's tests scores have gone down every year since he enrolled in this school. The math program is the worst, most of the students have to have tutors to make up what they are not getting in class. There is no attachment to the kids, they are just bodies in seats. Please send your kids somewhere else, as you would be doing them a huge disservice if you enroll your kids in this school

This is our third year at GVCS and we are very happy so far. I love the discipline and that academic challenge the school presents. The teachers are loving and supportive. The front office and the administration are responsive and friendly. This is a very organized, clean and well-run school. The Parent Teacher Fellowship is active and involved. There is a Town Hall Meeting every year for parents to express their opinions, good or bad and offer suggestions for school improvements. Students who have gradutated from GVCS are now sending their children here. To me that is a very good endorsement. Of course, no school is perfect and you need to find the school that fits your child.

Gardena Valley Christian (GVCS) did not meet the overall support I expected from a private school yES It has some good qualities such as clean campus, library, campus cafeteria, but the more important items such as Higher academic support for all student, not just the favorite few, the school failed to see that they are there for the whole student body. When the same student keep receiving the same rewards and neither the teachers or the admin seek to encourage a change well it time to change school. Because all students need to know that they can soar like eagles. GVCS was not the school for /fit for my children. I know there is a school out there that will offer the 'you can , you will, you must make it ' attitude and make sure the student believe the school teachers and staff really mean it.

Yes. Most private schools consist of students that are able to work independently and do not need intervention. If the services that your child needs are not available at a particular school, then you must continue searching for the right school. GVCS is a great school. It is not perfect, ofcourse, but the school really does a Great job nurturing, caring, and challenging students.

I was very unhappy with this school. This school functions on a 'one-size fits all' theory. The administration and staff are unwilling to assist students that need reinforcement academically and are not independent learners. I felt unwelcomed!!!!! They need to realize that this world is comprised of differences!!!!

I graduated from Gardena Valley Christian School in the year of 2007. I attended this school since kindergarten. The school is constantly updateing and making changes to better benefit the students education. The school offers many different electives such as art, drama, math study etc. It was good to me. I did well academically at this school and am niow doing very well in high school. I was well prepared for high school academically, physically, spiritually, and socially. If you are looking for a school that providessafety, great education, good morals and alues, and the love of Christ, then Gardena Valley Christian school is right for you.

I have been involved with GVCS for nearly 13 years, and am an alumnus of the school. GVCS provided me with a strong academic foundation while showing me the love of Christ. The school has various sports, before and afterschool care, a loving staff, excellent academic standards, and provides a safe, nurturing environment. In all my years at GVCS, the teachers never failed to offer extra help to me when I needed it, and they were always eager to help me excel in my education. The current principal, Mrs. Pickens has been at the school for many years, and truly cares about the students. I highly recommend GVCS to anyone looking for a safe, high-quality education for their children.
