John Muir is a wonderful school. The Principal, Dr. Junge is outstanding. She is caring and completely involved with her students, parents and the community. The teachers are amazing. They are hardworking, approachable and considerate. The PTA is extremely active. Lots of events and a very busy board - more parents should get involved in school events, it really helps to feel like a part of the school. My child and I love our school and are so happy to be a part of this wonderful community.
It has been an amazing second year for my son at this wonderful school. What can I say? The teachers are dedicated. Kudos to the Principal! She is a very dynamic and sweet person. Extremely personal with the kids. My son goes to third grade and I always see him come back very happy and satisfied everyday. Nothing can be better than this for us as parents!
Wow!!!!! What an outstanding kindergarten team. I could tell that the teachers work closely together to provide quality learning experiences for all the children. I have seen my own twins grow and I was confident they were well-prepared for first grade. I volunteered many times throughout the year and was happy to see that there is consistency in kindergarten.
Muir is a GREAT school. I LOVE working here. The team collaboration and the data driven educational philosophy inspires me!
John Muir is a beautiful school. The administration is impossible to approach by the parents and students. You don't have things such as students having lunches with the principal, or even any type of effort by the principa to get to know the parents. In fact, the administration does not greet or supervise during drop-off. There are several wonderful teachers, though.
My daughter has gone to muir for 2 years (K-1) and has greatly exceeded my expectations. Her current teacher, Ms. Nahigian not only pushes the standard classroom fare, but she encourages the children to think and apply their knowledge to the outside world.
This school is great. My kid really loves the school and his teacher(miss. Nahigian) Wonderful and diverse school.
I was a student at John Muir Elementary from 1991 to 1994 and I am honored to tell everyone that this is a great school. I learned English here and many other wonderful things. I have so many memories of this school and I hope to send my children (none yet) to this school. I am now 21 and will never forget John Muir and its great teachers!!
