Fairview Middle School is one of the best schools in south Monterey county. I just graduated there with a 3.89 with honors and I think it's the best. The teachers are very supportive, and help to every need you have. They are a bit challenging, but it's all worth it in the end. The science teachers are the best. I scored an Advanced on the science CST in my 8th grade year. Especially the administration is very friendly and supportive to everything you need. I was there from 5th grade to 8th grade and I think there's no other better school than Fairview! Fairview Graduate -Class of '08

Fairview overall is a good school. Mr. Jesus Velazquez is a great help to parents and students. I think they do need to comunicate more with parents through letters, memos.. something. As a parent I'd like to help in school once in a while but I can't on a regular basis and this year I didn't get any flyer asking for help. I'd like to help out!

Fairview is a great school. The teachers are nice, but work the students hard. The activites are limited, but when we get some we take full advantage of whats offered. Its not as bad as school as people claim it is.

This school may be populated highly be english language learners, but most are fluent in english and just need to be encouraged by parents a bit more. Over all this school has a lot of potential. The teachers are amazing and constantly involved and interested in helping all of thier students.

Fairview has a high population of english second language learners, which leads to lower than average test scores, since the students have had difficulty in learning english in lower grades to begin with. There are some very good teachers. Overall the school is about average. As always, student success depends on strong parent support!
