I do not care for the comment that someone maliciously left regarding our school 7/10/11. We kids often take a few years to get the "they're, their, there" thing down. Don't be so critical we're learning. Our school has people from many different backgrounds, social & economic. We are a special blend of students that works out really well together. We don't have gangs or bullies. We have a fantastic group of people that care for each other and help each other in many different ways. We are a small school where we know everyone else and we know our teachers well. They watch us grow as we are nourished by their teaching. We flourish with thought because we are not a factory school. Our rankings from STAR testing shows us rated as the 5th highest scoring school in California. Thanks to our Ghidotti teachers as well as our Sierra College teachers we receive one of the finest educations that our financially strapped state can provide. Our parents are super involved with us as well. Our PTC conducts outstanding fundraisers that have helped the school & more importantly us students.

This is the school I wish I had gone to. The people who attend are brilliant kids that are kind, courteous, and helpful. I am one of the involved parents & I am greeted by kids who are truly happy where they go to school. The staff is some of the best staff that I have ever run into. It truly is a fantastic family of learning. People of all backgrounds, blended together into a fantastically successful school. In about five years they have jumped to the top of the charts in school rankings. My children are challenged and do not come home bored from class. For fund raisers we don't sell cookie dough or wrapping paper. We have the bingo booth at the county fair & we do a record breaking electronics recycling drive. The kids are responsible for community service hours and many choose to help the school with those hours of service. The Principal is tough enough yet understanding enough to handle any situation that has arisen since I have known her. She is also one of the teachers. This allows her to feel the pulse of the school firsthand. She knows how to run a school. Teachers here are well trained and approachable, easy to contact & talk to. Top notch staff.

Started with a grant from the Gates foundation, Ghidotti ECHS was targeted at students at risk- for whatever reason. The Ghidotti ECHS has small classroom size and excellent teachers ( no apostrophe as I am speaking about more than one teacher and not giving possession to a teacher) that motivate their students to succeed. Students have the opportunity to take college level classes at the local community college ( most of which do transfer to traditional colleges) at a pace that works best for each individual to ensure that their high school requirements are met. Ghidotti classes include time for support services for those college level classes. Several of the graduating seniors have been Valedictorian of their class at Sierra Community College where they earned their AA degree alongside their high school diploma. Students are motivated to prepare for their future educations through college searches and visits. Scholarships are easily obtainable for students who try. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to the last two years of students. Ghidotti is an excellent choice for students who want to get a head start on their college education.

Previous posters not withstanding, Ghidotti ECHS is a fabulous school with an excellent, dedicated staff. The program itself is relatively new and sometimes difficult to comprehend. Students take high school and community college classes concurrently. Where a college class satisfies the high school requirement, the college class substitutes for the high school class. A motivated student can plow through a great deal of college general ed classes before even getting a high school diploma, allowing them to cut their time in a 4-year university. This school has the highest standardized test results in the county. It is a public, non-charter school.

How could this school possibly be a 10 when their only reviewer, an actual student, doesn't have even the most basic mastery of their, there & they're. And apparently this school is really busy giving a good lesson to learn about the "college experience" to teach punctuation. Disturbing. Teacher's are attentive? Teacher's, apostrophe S, aren't preparing you for college, they're preparing you for a brilliant career on facebook.
