I attended this school from kindergarten through 5th grade and I truly couldn't have asked for a better education. I am a high school senior now and this school really helped instill the ideals of self-expression, hard work, and compassion in me. The level of academic rigor prepared me well for private schools attended afterward in a different city. The teachers always took a personal investment in my life and my work and relentlessly cared about the students. I learned 6th grade math in my fourth grade class, along with several lessons that go far beyond the classroom. I would highly reccoment this school to anyone who wants their child to go boldly into life with a strong leadership skills and a great academic foundation.
I moved to this school from virginia and was very disappointed. The teachers were all very nice but I feel that the level of education I recieved was below the level it should be. I was going over material that I learned in sixth grade when i was taking their eighth grade class.
Great school! Low teacher turn around. Teachers that truly care about their students and go above and beyond. They offer art lab, music lab, and computer labs.
Kings River has always had the reputation of being a terrific school with leadership working hand-in-hand with parents and teachers. Unfortunately in the last year or two, this has dramatically declined. There is disconnect between super/vice and what is best for the students! We can still achieve without misery. It would be great to see the school back on course with what the needs of the students, teachers, and parents and not from one or two people who have their own agenda. A team should include the board, super/vice, teachers, parents, and students!
The school seems to have difficulty maintaining previously attained high levels of instruction and leadership. The Board seems to be more interested in maintaining the status quo than making necessary leadership changes that would improve school culture and academic performance.
I cannot say enough good things about this school! My kids have been in this school since pre-k and we would not dream of going any place else! The staff and faculty are phenomenal and deeply care about the children! Best of the best!
