St. Bede Catholic school offers a unique student experience blended with a sense of community and family. The staff and faculty are one of a kind and truly dedicated to the overall learning and well being of each student. Don't let appearances fool you, although the school may appear dated, you'll be impressed by the interior appearance and welcoming spirit throughout the school. Learning mixed with fun and excitement and awesome teachers is what makes St. Bede a great school. As a parent, we continue to be impressed by the oustanding leadership and teacher dedication. And the proximity to major highways and boulevards is a bonus!

Since our move out of the area, our family has really missed St. Bede School. The principal and pastor have great vision for the school and genuinely care about all students, families, and teachers. The faculty and administration work tirelessly to raise their standards year after year. The school is imbued with a sense of community and Catholic identity. At our new school, we are paying almost double the tuition and expected more. Little did we know that St. Bede is one of a kind! We miss our home, St. Bede School!

I am a student, still in St.Bede right now. It's a great school and the teachers are all good. Especially Ms.Garcia, who is now Mrs.Durana. I made a lot of friends here at St.Bede. We all learn a lot. And I am a Principal's Honor Roll student. See? St. Bede teachers taught me to be in that high a category.

St. Bede is a great school. I am a parent of 3 St. Bede students, the eldest just graduated last year. He is now a freshman at Moreau. After seeing his grades in Powerschool, I can attest he is a straight A student. Last year graduates from Moreau, the Summa cum Laude was from St. Bede (Venzon). My nephew also graduated and he was a cum laude. Oh yes, he also graduated from St. Bede. I am sure there were some honor students from St. Joachim, but not as many compared to St. Bede. After all is said and done, the final responsibilty still lies on the student. No school can honestly attest that it only produces A students. Not even Challenger school. Stop blaming the school who spoonfed you with great foundation and nurturing environment and take responsibility in your on hand. And most especially, do something about it.

As a parent reading the reviews I would have to agree with the majority. St. Bede is a wonderful school filled with kind and dedicated staff members. I will say that back in 2008, there was a different staff and since then, the school has added additional EXCELLENT teachers. My children love their teachers and exceed my expectations because of them. When I look at the student review, I am glad that the student got into Moreau as I hear the entrance exam is not easy. So Congrats!

I'm a graduate of St. Bedes. I now go to Moreau Catholic High School. I highly disagree with the previous reviews. This school hasn't really prepared me for my high school years. The teachers aren't great except for Mr. Wolf. If I were to reccomend another catholic school in Hayward it would St. Joachims on Hesperian. It's a great school. Plus, St. Bede's campus is really old and not attractive looking.

St. Bede is a fascinating school. There is such dedication by teachers in helping students learn. Parents are involved and that makes all the difference. Music programs, sports, an ecology club, choir, and academic competitions make up a majority of the co-curricular activities. Kids enjoy learning at St. Bede School.

St. Bede's is a great school with a family environment. They have teachers who love the kids and are well prepared for class. There are special music, art, and science teachers, plus PE twice a week. CYO has big sports programs for both boys and girls - basketball, volleyball, and softball. Most grads go on to Catholic high school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
