My daughter was part of the founding class at THS, and my son followed when the school expanded. The Head of School was an amazing leader, and partner in both my children's education. She has an amazing vision, and strives to bring incredible opportunities to the children. Every decision that is made is made with best interest of the children in mind. The adults inspired both of my children to value education, make the most of all that is offered, to be always curious, and to live with respect and integrity.
I enrolled my first and fourth grade students at THS when we moved here last August (2010). Their first year at THS was amazing, they were exposed to global events and cultures, mandarin, spanish, performing arts, artistry, economics, music and health programs while excelling in the accelerated reading program and leaping ahead in mathematics and the sciences. The field trips, classroom projects and curriculum are top notch, and I can't imagine a better preparatory experience for all that will face them in their futures. At THS they are gaining confidence, reasoning skills, compassion and learning how to think both in and out of the box. The teaching staff is excellent and the leadership is inspired. We are thrilled to be a part of THS community.
This is one of the only schools in the N Bay that offers the International Baccalaureate program (currently in the process of accreditation by IB). This world-focus curriculum offers a broad-based child centered learning environment. In addition, there s the low teacher/student ratio (10:1); dual language (Spanish & Mandarin); PE and art; uniforms and easy teacher/staff communication make this the best private school in Sonoma County. With two kids currently enrolled, I m very confident about their future.
We've been with THS for 2 years now. We have two children in the school. The smaller class size has really helped in my childrens growth. It is an academically challenging school which also teaches the children to be responsible and respectful individuals. They encourage the students to think outside the box. I can't say enough about the staff and teachers. They are tremendous. Also, the parents are very involved in the school which is helping with it success.
My son's reading skills improved 3 grades during his first year in this school. He has shown tremendous growth in a short time. The low student - teacher ratio means more attention is paid to my kid. In the public school he was in danger of falling through the cracks...
This is an amazing school. There are well over 110 students, small class sizes, music, art, mandarin, spanish, etc. The leadership is amazing and I cant tell you how happy we are. Our 2nd grader came into the school reading at a K level and was reading at a 5th grade level by the end of the year. We are thrilled. Cant recomment the school or teachers enough.
Our son is a Kindergartner and is extremely happy and soaring! He has specialist teachers for pe, spanish, mandarin, art and music! The small class sizes and very warm, experienced teachers are incredible. And, the international IB program is amazing. We couldn't be happier.....
