I don't think the person who wrote the negative response has any idea what Rio is all about. Every student or staff member who has been to Rio can't deny the beauty of the campus, the care that the staff put into their students, and the all-around positivity. Yes, it is a Christian school with required worships, but it offers an education that is far superior to public schools, with extracurricular classes such as shop, art, a strong PE program, music, and auto shop. Students who have high academic standards thrive there. Kids who don't want to work hard will feel very challenged.

great school for children who need dicipline and religious training. i attended this school and highly recommend it as a boarding school even if you are not adventist.

Rio Lindo Academy is an excellent christian high school. It is a boarding school, but accepts day students as well. I am a student here, and I have never been in a school where the teachers care so much. Not only that, but there are a lot of opportunities that you would not find at other schools. There are numerous sports students can participate in, as well as mission trips each year, and even a student exchange program to Australia. We have a learning research center for students struggling in their classes. We have 2 computer labs where students can access the internet, and an industrial arts program that is superior to that of many schools. We also have a great music program, and a unique work experience program where students can work and earn money towards tuition.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
