This school leaves a lot to be desired. You are paying for private but getting worse than public. None of the upper grade teachers have credentials from California and the school doesn't care. There is a reason why their upper grades have so few students and are being pulled out by parents constantly. I would recommend the preschool but after that, please think twice and talk to parents that have switched schools. There are many many to choose from and are saying pretty much the same thing. Lack of instruction and academics.

My kids love this school. We moved to this area based on this school. It came highly recommended by a lot of people. The school is always trying to grow and improve. It is worth the money for the small classrooms, loving and caring teachers and the word of God. I really hope that they will have high school added down the road. I would send my kids to this school till they graduate

Well first I want to say that St. John's is the best in town. When I was looking for a private school here in the valley for my kids; St. John's has them all beat, plus I heard they are going through the accreditation process! I have recommended the school to many of my friends and still would. Where I would say they need help is with the principal. I have had some friends that don't want to come back because of her and have tried talking them into staying. Just hope things change there because they are great!

I love the St. John's preschool! The teachers truly love all the kids and you can see it on their faces and the way they treat the kids. I trust them with my precious little gift and am so glad they are learning about God too! I can't wait for them to go into kindergarten next year and be with Mrs. Bellamy (Mrs. Nancy)! We love you St. John's.

Overall the school is very good and the preschool is great and I would recommend it to my friends as I have in the past!!! However just as with anything there is problems that need to be dealt and I've noticed with the principal. Over the course of watching the school and seeing how she administrates...she doesn't. She's not good at her job and I feel St. John's can do better. Once this problem is taken care of it think St. John's will do great.

The 4th grade teacher is a wonderful teacher. My son worked his hardest for her and had his most successful year on the honor roll. His good habits are continuing in 5th grade too. I had no problems with communication, but then my kid did his homework and paid attention in class. I'm grateful that she was my sons teacher. St. John's is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers.

I have no idea what this person is talking about. The 4th grade teacher is probably one of the best teachers my kids have ever had in their education. She is so helpful and kind and really prepared my child for 5th grade. Plus the field trips were excellent! The education and experience my kids have had with her were worth every penny. Turn in assignments and raise your child to be smart and you won't have any issues. It's not that difficult.

I know the lady who wrote that last review - my child was in that class, too, and we love that teacher (and all the teachers at St. John's). She's just mad because the teacher wouldn't send her kid to 5th grade. My son used to tell me all that time how that child never turned in any work. St. John's is worth every penny - the teachers are loving, caring, and well-educated. Don't let one nut job's opinion keep you away from a fantastic school!

My son went there since preschool. We are not returning for 5th grade. The 4th grade teacher is the worst no commucation. The Principle dose nothing about all the problems at the school. There attitude is "it is not there fault so go away." After 4th grade there class sizes drop in half. There is a reason alot of kids do not return. paying for private but getting public.

Great education in a Christian setting. Some limited activities though, (i.e sports and extracirrcular)

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
