Profile Completeness

HONOR ROLL

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

PTC is an amazing school! The teachers, principal and staff are all dedicated to the students and are very hands on. They have zero tolerance for bullying and are always monitoring students for safety. This school may be small but it's huge in heart and the new school will be finished next year! My son loves it here!

My son attends school here and has had amazing teachers. The staff is very caring and cares for each and every one of the kids. He loves going to school and has been doing really well in his studies. My husband and I love that the school doesn't have problems with bullying and fighting.

I have two daughters that attend this school. The campus may be small but the classes in jr. high are limited to 20 and k-6 are limited to 25. My kids teachers all have at 5 years experience at the minimum. This school has really turned it around in the last two years!

I am a devoted parent of 3 children, all of which have attended Crosswalk schools, 2 of which are still enrolled. I have to disagree with the angry parent that seems to believe that staff is solely responsible for any and all positive recognition that is expressed in regards to this school. Yes, good people that are well liked sometimes do loose their positions however, as unfortunate as this can be, the educational field is not the only place where this occurs, I have been with this school for several years and from personal experience I know one thing to be true, I have never known this school to make any decision that was not in the best interest of the children and as a dedicated parent that is all that matters to me - the rest is simply non-sense.

I love this school! My daughter is in the 5th grade, I placed her here 2 years ago and for my daughter it was truly the best decision I've ever made. Before she hated school. She was introverted, shy and completely unmotivated, Today she's done a complete 360 socially and academically. She wakes up everyday with an "I love school" attitude. She's excited about learning and she's developed great realtionships with teachers and fellow classmates. I highly recommened this school to parents who are curently looking for a great school in the high desert. There have been some changes but, as long as my child continues to recieve a phenomenal education I see no reason to look else where. The teachers are outstanding and they really care for those kids!

I agree with the parent that said they were only able to give one star. My son attended here last year but won't be returning because of all this hulabaloo that is constant with this school. It is sad as there are a few really good teachers at this school that do a great job. But because of the "hulabaloo" that has been going on for so long, I don't think this is the right place for my child. Children should go to learn in a safe and peaceful enviornment, not one where such things go on daily. Kid deserve the best education in the best place possible, this school is not it. I am giving only one star for the teachers as most are in my opinion not worthy of more (some deserve 5)

I wouldn't even give this place a one star but it made me pick in order to go forward. What a horrible place to send any inccocent child. The constant changes and teacher turnover rates are terrible. After they got rid of my child's wonderful teacher, my kids and even other kids are not going back there. They made a very stupid mistake and I'm sick and tired of their mishandling of this school if you can even call it a school. I call it something I am not allowed to say on this site.

Don't be fooled into thinking this is a great school. I have heard that the staff from the school gets on here to post good comments about it so they can get their enrollment up. Don't trust the comments that seem way to good because it's just from the staff trying to trick you into signing up your innocent children to go to their school that is currently sinking into the ground. I'm sick of them getting rid of their super great teachers and keeping the bad ones who don't even care about the kids. They are just there because they need the money and can't get a teaching job anywhere else because of the horrible recession right now. They got rid of my kids teacher that was so wonderful and now my kids are out of there. That was the last straw. This school is RIDICULOUS!

My family loves this school :) we've been here for about two years and my children and i just love the teachers. They all work so hard to meet each students needs and its so nice to find teachers that make time to do so. Although there has been changes, i trust the decisions the principal has made and i am comfortable with any other teacher that will be working with my children. We are looking forward to the next school year and everything it will bring.

As a parent of a 1st year student here, I would like to say that Pathways to College is a great school. The teaching staff is incredible and the administration is amazing. The staff members are all very helpful and very attentive. I am very happy with the progress my child has made in this school. It amazes me on the excitement she has when she gets home, she is so egar to tell me what she learned in school. I cant wait to see what more things she will learn this upcoming school year. Thank you to all the Pathways staff!

As a parent I will have to rate Crosswalk a 5 star. They address all good qualities in students as well as the misunderstood qualities in students. All the staff are always ready to help the students.

My children used to attend this school, but because of the constant changing of teachers they won't be returning. I find the administration to be ineffective and not supportive of their good teachers. They seem to let go the superior teachers and keep the bottom of the barrel. No Thanks for our family! Good bye Pathways!

Having seen Pathways start anew in 2006, I am grateful to see the changes that have taken place this new school year. Under prior leadership, the school seemed to be in a place of disaray. Especially the office, which was disorganized, chaotic and 'messy'. Everyone seemed to be stepping over each other to get things done. The offices are now professional, organized and beautifully decorated! Another concern was the lack of care for children with special needs, as my child is. Promises made for help were never kept. It's wonderful to see a Director and staff that truly care about children with special needs, as my child is. Kudos to you! Keep up the good work!

This is my daughter's first year. The teachers seem to really want their students to excell and go out of their way to help. My daughter is recieving extra tutoring in areas that she is struggling in. The office staff keep the school going. Without them it would be chaos.

This school is disgusting. How can the district allow this to continue and have a school operating as they are. Now they have mixed the high school and middle school together and think that a facility is going to fix the problem. They have several gang members attending now and that's why our children will not be attending anymore. By the way have you seen how bad their test scores are? Why would anyone even think of placing there child in this school unless they have been kicked out of the public schools.

Everyone's gone! They had wonderful teachers and a principal. Now someone else has taken over and they dont know what they're doing. I have never seen a school go down so quickly. The office has no idea what they're doing. When the school opened in 2006 it was great but now it's a disaster. There is no organization and they are not in it for the children. I have pulled my children out and will be placing them in another school.

My child has been attending Pathways since 2007. She has done very well her first year and we are enrolling her for another year. The only complaint I have is the office staff. They seem to be very unorganized and cannot answer questions at times. It is frustrating to know that you have turned something in and they have no record of it. Also, my child's attendance was always wrong. They kept calling me for make up days when they were never missed. I hope to see some improvement next year. I also think that Friday's should be free dress day.

I'm horrified at the way the school is now operating. The administrator who was the foundation of the school is no longer there and the people now operating it is not for the children. It is no longer welcoming and acadmics are no longer taking place. It's an absoulute joke! I would not recommend this school to anyone. I'm appauled at what's taking place at this school. Once the administrator left I took my children out immediately. Parents beware of what's taking place there now!

We as parents of our children rate this school as a 6. This school has only been in operation for a year and a half and has exceeded all expectations of a new school. They provide the children the academics and educational soundness most schools don't offer. The leadership and staff at the school are outstanding. We would and have recommended this school to all our friends. This school is going to go a long ways!

I am very pleased with this school, the emphasis is on education. That every child has the capability to reach there goals. The staff is welcoming to all who come though their doors and has an honest concern for the children.

This school has been great for my son. They have helped him to bring up his reading level one whole year in just a few months. They offer music, art, and foreign language. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to participate.

I rate this school as a 5 because of the excellence that is portrayed the moment you walk on campus. The scholars have respect for their classmates and the school. As you enter the campus, scholars greet visits with great courtesy. The staff has a positive and professional attitude and the standards are set high. Pathways teaches classical and character education. The principal has an open door policy and greets all scholars and parents in a positive and caring manner. I would recommend this school to anyone who wish to have their child learn in a safe and caring environment.
