Hickman Middle School

I would agree that the change of leadership was certainly not for the better, but you CANNOT find a better school for your kids anywhere in Stanislaus County. I bring my children from Modesto, and it is worth every drop of gas to get them there. The teachers and staff make the difference - the admin doesn't teach the kids, and are thus irrelevant.

Nothing, nothing, nothing but good, good, good to say about this school. The teachers are A1 and the campus is beautiful - an awesome nurturing and learning enviroment! It is a bitter sweet day today as our 8th grader is moving on; but our 5th grader has now become a 6th grader. We love Hickman Charter School!

I knew and know the last leadership as I do the present. I have three children at Hickman; all three have accelerated academically. The new leadership is far from devestating. The leadership continues to strive at genuine committment for the students. CG

Ayear ago the school board decided to change the leaderrship of the District. The results of the Elementary and Middle School has been devastating. The great atmosphere that was there is gone. Most of the teachers in the Elementary and Middle will tell you itsn't the same. SAD

What an incredible educational environment! The teachers really do care about the students. The sports are outstanding - my son has loved his experiences in football and basketball. It's the perfect place. G.D.

We chose to enroll our son in Hickman after homeschooling him for several years. The transistion was very smooth and we were happy with the move. The staff at Hickman Middle School, especially the principal, Bob Loretelli, were all so helpful and attentive to our needs. The communication between staff and parents at school is wonderful. Our son has grown so much both academically and mentally at Hickman School.

My daughter really enjoys the smaller school feel. She doesn't get lost in the crowd. Teachers are excellent and work with each student. Really positive interaction!
