Hilmar High is a great school. The other reviews are from so long ago that they do not serve this school any justice at all. My whole family grew up in Hilmar and all through the Hilmar school system. People from Hilmar have gone on to do big things!

Good School, great teachers, could be more classes with additional opportunites. More to select from would be great.

My son has attended Hilmar High for 2 years. Their 'AP' courses are of poor quality, and do not offer the substance needed to pass the exams. The district doesn't offer anything to their GATE students except 4-5th-grade-before school, enrichment. As soon as I had the chance, I moved all 3 of my kids to nearby Turlock schools. The district's test scores are horrid, and the parents don't even know that being 'Performance Improvement' is not a good thing. Their new WASC olan doesn't even mention improving the AP courses. There are some good things about Hilmar schools, if you're into agriculture, dairys, and football. Other than that, don't expect much. Students are in no way prepared for university learning. Sorry, but it's a very big disappointment.

I go to Hilmar high school and overall it isn't too bad of a school. I like this school better then the last schools that I have gone to and I don't really have any big complaints. Most of the teachers are really good and helpful and their sports programs are great! I wouldn't want to go to any other school.
