Southside School is an excellent school. The prinicipal is very professional and approachable. The teachers are allowed to teach to the abilities of all the children, so everyone of the students is allowed to grow and prosper in their knowledge according to their abilities.

Southside school is an excellent school. The principal is a wonderful, caring human being who takes great care of the school, teachers and kids. THe teachers are also excellent and put a lot of effort in to these kids so they can be successful. My kids have attended the catholic school in Hollister and academically Southside is far superior. I feel now that my kids will be better prepared for High School. The teachers hold homework clubs after school and really care and want to help theses kids do their best.

Southside school teachers are very good. They were able to pull up my daughters grades in every subject. My daughter attended a private school from K-6. This schools performance far exceeds the private schools in our area. The kids all get along very well with each other. Teachers really care. I am very glad to know my daughter will now be better prepared for High School.

Southside is a small, rural school that has high curriculum standards. My child received a first-rate education that prepared my child well for High School (it is a K-8 school). It has a family-friendly atmosphere and all the teachers are highly qualified and care deeply for each student. Because of a lack of funding in this state, some programs had to be cut back or cut out altogether. My child did participate in sports. The music program was cut, but students are able to participate at other schools. I was extremely happy that my child attended this school for 7 years!

Parent involvement is extremely high. This is a small town atmosphere with big time benefits! School community is warm, teachers have great work ethics and work closely together for all students. Everyone knows everyone. Homework club, afterschool electives including music, sports, drama are only mentioning a few. This is the public 'private' school in the area!

This is a wonderful innovative school. Students are encouraged to be creative as well as disciplined. Homework is imaginative and thought provoking. Sports are available. There is a newspaper and other after school programs such as science fair workshop and rocketry. Every two years fifth and sixth graders go to a science camp to learn about the environment. Kindergartners are reading skill level 2 books. Kindergartners do science experiments, count to 100 and are encouraged to excel. Fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders are expected to write papers with footnotes and endnotes on complex topics. The students are nice to each other, there is very little bullying. The principal has very good report with the parents, teachers and students. Academic excellence is encouraged. Curiosity is encouraged. Involvement in school activities is encouraged at all levels. There are talent shows, school plays, holiday performances, and fun after school fundraising activities.
