The students are good kids and there are alot of good teachers at this school that care about the students. There needs to be some more after school sports programs started.

I really like this school for my kids! The principal and teachers are great and easy to talk to. This year, they have really challenged the kids in a good way. Discipline is getting much more strict, which is a good thing. The students really seem to like being there. My kids hate to miss school, which says a lot!

It is my final year here at Holtville Middle School and I am proud to say that it has been a very excellent three years of learning and relationship building. I cannot imagine myself anywhere else, but here at good old HMS, Home of the Warriors. I am sad to say that I have to leave for High school, but I am thankful that they helped me prepare for the challenges ahead with their professional teachers and the many different classes. I as an A.V.I.D student wish I could stay. I recommend that anyone who moves to Holtville should attend HMS for their middle school years. They give you a challenge, but they make sure you understand before moving on. Overall, I am proud to be a graduating Warrior.

I have 2 sons in Holtville Middle School. I think within the past year the GATE program has made some improvement. Student displine in and out of the classroom needs to be a little tougher. There needs to be a bigger variety of sports available after school. I think this school is moving in the right direction but still has a way to go to reach its potential.

My son started Holtville Middle School this fall and has enjoyed it. He likes his teachers and is becoming much more independent. I think they have a great after school program (21st century) that really benefits the students. I would like to be informed a little more on events that are happening. I think parents would like to participate and would enjoy activities like honor roll awards and other events. Good luck Middle School and keep up the good work. Parents get involved and stay involved throughout your childs educational years. MB

Administration engages in 'Emotional Bullying' to intimidate both staff and students. There is no support for the Arts/Electives. The only thing the administration cares about is raising test scores instead of having education be a richly rewarding experience for the students. The administration is inexperienced and incompetent, not that the Superintendent or that the Board would admit it. Small town nepotisim and politics are the governing force of education at Holtville.
