Inglewood is not a bad school at all...the principal Ms. Tate is very concerned about her students and the test scores. The thing is we have teachers who are unwilling to work with us and help, but there is a good handful of teachers who actually want to teach. We just need someone to believe in us other the the principal. Also, more parents need to be involved at the school then it would be so much better.
Inglewood High School finally has a principal who wants to be there. I graduated from IHS last year and it was the best school year I had. Because of the principal, teachers are finally teaching and I believe that in the years to come IHS will become a much better school. I only wish that the principal was there all four years I was there. The parents need to get involved at the school, that is the only way IHS will become better. My mother was very active at Inglewood High School and there were one or two other active parents but other than that there were no parents. It is not impossibe to succeed at IHS. I am going to attend LMU this fall and some of my friends are going to great universities. My mother made sure I recieved a good education and I know if parents got involved in their childs education they can do well also.
I graduated from this school in 1999. I did not learn a thing. There is 1 out of 40 teachers there that really teach. Now that I am out of high school I wish that my mother would have sent me to a better school because it cost in the long run. I am in college now in my second year and I wouldnt recommend this school at all. There needs to be some major changes. Like a very strick curriculum! I was sent to a valley school in between going to Inglewood and the stuff they taught over there was what I called school. This school really needs an over veiw from the dept. of Edu.!
The parents should get more involved with the school and try to make things better for their children.
From the principal to the counseling staff, most of the administrators are lousy!
