It's a school where children are happy and Learn core values such as honesty, respect and integrity, etc. they don't condone bullying and they have instrumental music, iPad programs etc. The school is not perfect but the Administration and staff LOVE the students. They will FIGHT for your kids even if it means fighting you and helping you to grow! Some parents can't handle that. It's their loss. Way to go COPPA!

10 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Send Your Child to COPPA 10. There’s no communication. Children are put on busses and driven to other COPPA campuses without asking the parents for permission. The school never even told the parents their children left the campus. 9. There’s no organization. I watched a teacher lose a student on a field trip. It turns out that the child who was “missing” was absent from school that day. I watched, on the bus, as the teacher called the parent at work and asked if her child was at school. 8. There’s no involvement. The parent committee consists of 6 parents. In order to join the parent committee, one has to inquire because they do not recruit. 7. Volunteer work is discouraged. The teachers don’t want volunteers because they don’t want you to see how they manage their classrooms. 6. There’s no online presence. The website requires a password that the parents never get access to. Last minute changes to the calendar are communicated by text and email. Sometimes texts are completely blank! 5. You will never get to work on time. Parking is a mess, children cannot be dropped off before 7:45am and emergency meetings are often held at 8am discussing important changes to the school. 4. The parents fight in the parking lot while waiting to pick up their children. 3. The parking lot is dangerous. There are cars flying from the alley through the parking lot where children are dropped off. It’s only a matter of time before a child is struck. 2. They ignore bullying. Teachers look the other way engaging in small talk with each other while the class bully drags another child by his backpack and slams him on the ground. When child cries, teacher doesn’t hear him. She’s too busy chatting away to care. 1. Emails to Ms. Thompson (the Principal) are ignored. The principals contact information is a secret that one must google to find. Once you email her, don’t expect a response. If you receive a response, it’s dismissive. She’s rude in person as well.

I am extremely impressed with the faculty, staff and administration! They all work together to ensure student success! Children of all learning abilities and cultures are brought together to learn in a very positive environment! I have worked at public and catholic schools in Los Angeles and I am very impressed at the learning and the enjoyment of learning going on at this school!! Parents truly do have an option!!!

This is a great charter school! For the other "reviews" that mentioned the school is in it for the money, I repeat... It's a charter school! Do your homework. There is no money. Drive by your local public school and know they receive 3 times as much as charter schools. That's why charter schools take INVOLVED parents to make them work successfully. It takes a village! I love this school with iPads, instrumental music lessons and a staff that cares. It's like the good old days when your school was like a family! Everyone here wants the best !

We are new to the program, but from what I see so far, I really like my 2 year old's teacher. She gives me status updates via text message during the day (because she knows I miss him), and she is even potty training him! The administration is great as well because they offer several options for parents who need assistance paying for child care. If your income does not allow you to qualify for assistance programs, the school offers parents the opportunity to volunteer, which will result in discounts to your monthly child care costs.
