My child was an underachieving student, but the atmosphere at this school made her a high achiever.I felt the principle Ahoer was a great leader.I have seen through another teachers eyes that there is a direct link from principle to learning enviroment.The priciple sets the tone,goals,expectations and support that determines how the teachers can conduct their classes either with support from the administration or not, this school was balanced.

Curriculum designed for college bound students. Athlethics programs are developing as the campus is relatively new compared to other schools in their respective leagues.

The leadership at this school is the root of the problem, the disrespect given to the students as well as the parents is appauling. There are some excellent teachers particularly in English and History, but the administration needs to be overhauled.

This is one of the Best Schools in Irvine! I have read the reviews of the school and I am very shocked to see that the low ratings of this school. You won't look back sending your child to this school.
The teachers are fairly knowledgable, but there are only a couple that stand out as truly inspirational teachers. From my freshman and sophomore experiences, Mr. Beilin and Mr. Goldenberg were these instructors. It may sound fairly cliche but they will make a student willing and excited to learn.

im going to be graduating from beckman this year,and beckman is seriously awesome. it gets better every year. and it has so much variety.everyone s so nice. no gangs or people that think they own the place.overall it s a great high school to go to.

Beckman is a great place to learn. I just finished my freshman year at beckman and loved it. The teachers care, theres no clique that think they rule the school. Everyone is nice. I definitely look forward to going for the rest of my high school years. The atmosphere is great and being at beckman is a really nice pleasure.

I am a substitute teacher for Tustin Unified and Beckman is definitely my favorite school. The teachers are positive and have very high expectations for their students. They seem like they really like kids and enjoy working there. The classrooms are supplied with nothing but the best equipment, especially the music dept. The technology is excellent too. It has a very high academic atmosphere where students compete to be the smartest and best. In other words, it is 'cool to be smart.' Where some schools that I have seen it is 'cool to be dumb.' The principal is not really visible, but the teachers are extremely capable and strive for excellence.

I am currently a softmore at BHS and I am in ASB, Marching Band, and Varsity Band. Because Beckman High School is a new school, there are many new teachers who are still learning ways to teach kids in an effective fashion. The sports department has greatly improved this year thanks to the district finding knowledgeable coaches. Jim Kollias, the music director does a great job. He really connects with his students, who all love him. The marching band has done great all three years. The first parade the band participated in it placed first which was the San Diego MLK Day Parade in 2005. BHS is Tustin School District's star school. Because it is a new school it is very high tech.

All in all, Beckman High School is a solidly average high school, with solidly average potential. Very few departments have standout teachers. Those looking for wide choices in classes, look elsewhere, but those hoping for an incredibly diverse student body, this is the school for you.

Being this is a new school for the district, I think Beckman has great potential. BHS has had alot of growing pains but each year has proven to excel. I am please to say my daughter goes there and will be the 1st full 4 yr graduating class

This new HS takes on students from excellent middle schools with high API scores(Pioneer API:866; Hewes API:857). The AP programs are strong with a young and energetic staff and principal. The facility is outstanding, with a fabulous performing arts center, video arts studios and state of the art science labs. Too new to have an API index.
