Well the teachers really don't pay attention and when you ask for help on your homework they don't really help you.....

As a student at Argonaut i would say that it's a very good school. Our teachers care about us and take the time to help. In the sports department I would say that we put a little bit too much muscle behind football. But football's a part of the school. Most students get into it and it helps with school spirit. Everyone gets along. There aren't very many physical fights. One since i've been there, and i'm going into my senior year. The staff makes sure that they don't happen. The electives programs offer many opportunities to learn new things. Once a year every student meets with their counselor to make their plans for their classes the next year and we talk with them about what we're planning for the future. Not very many schools have that so we're lucky. Argo's a great school.

When I went to this school I got poor guidance and the teachers just let me pass on by. I barely got a 2.0 gpa in high school, and now I'm a 3.75 gpa in college. Very few times did a teacher attempt to challenge me or provide extra attention, which I feel at times was needed. I would say this is a result of poor teacher relations with parents and students. Argonaut did provide some great elective classes. The sports program is completely geared for football, when every other sport is put in the back seat.

A lot of the teachers have bad attitudes and treat good students poorly. Sports dept. is un-caring unless it's football.

Argonaut is a very small high school that has very high standards in academics, very competitive in sports and has a moderate level of parent involvement...the only problem is, there isnt an availability of music.

Argonaut is a small high school that offers 11 AP classes, an extensive business program, culinary arts training and a full sports program, in a safe, caring environment. The class sizes are very reasonable (25 average) and students can choose from a large number of electives, both academic and vocational. The art department offers studio arts, ceramics, photography and AP Art History. there is a band and a drama program. The sports teams are very competitive, winninng section championships in football, tennis, and golf. There is a ski and snowboard team, boys and girls soccer, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, baseball, softball, swimmimg, track and cheerleading. There is very low teacher turnover, and a variety of levels in core subjects, to meet all students' needs. Graduates routinely qualify for admission at top ranked universities and Argonaut ranks in Newsweek's top schools based on enrollment in AP classes.
