We love this school! We took our kids out of the highly rated La Canada School because the academics here are so much better. The teachers are caring and the kids have numerous extra-curricular activities that they can participate in. This school cares about your kids and will prepare them for AP classes when they enter high school.

my daughter has been at Foothill Progressive Montessori since kindergarden she is now in fifth grade. I cannot recommend this school highly enough. My daughter has blossomed into a smart well mannered and happy young girl, because of the incredible teachers and headmistress. She has consistently achieved high grades on the SATs every year and more than that , she has such a love of learning.

My daughter had been to two quality stimulating Montessorri Preschools, and thrived at them. Then, I sent her to a traditional school for First Grade, and she became apathetic, uninterested in the badly written workbooks. She is a gifted student, and became bored as she waited for the rest of the class to catch up. Thank goodness we found Foothill Progressive. the teachers are nurturing, they actually teach interesting lessons. It is 'cool' to be smart at Foothill Progressive. It is a small school, and my daughter feels respected and appreciated. She is mastering and soaring in Math, Science and Piano. So many of the students and Foothill Progressive score upward of 90% on the Stanford Achievment Tests, because real learning takes place at this school. Very international student body. We love it!

Our son attended Foothill from pre-school through eighth grade. He is now a sophomore at a highly regarded prep school in the area. He is taking honors classes and is a full year ahead in math. Without doubt, his current academic success is a direct result of the wonderful staff. This is a gem!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
