This school is considered a mission of the church tht supports it. As parents, we are to 'raise our children in the way they should go'. SOTH helps parents accomplish this goal. In addition to the basics (Reading, Writing and Arithmetic), the children learn daily Bible verses and hymns. The children learn music, art, and drama. They are also encouraged to join in the sports teams that include volleyball, flag football, basketball, softball and track (as a minimum). You will not find this level of education at any of the surrounding public schools.

Teachers are over worked and stressed, tuition rises every year, never any new teachers, late lunch for middle shool, no full time special education teacher.

This school has wonderful programs in spite of its small size. It offers all the programs needed for a well-rounded education. Parents are highly involved and the academic standards are high.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
